Timeline for endorsing RN license to CA
I also paid for a temp license and never got one. I had just under 3 months of waiting for my license to be issued though.

No, the temp license doesn't get issued. Save your money! Since apps are taking so long to get processed they're just issuing the full license.

Timeline for endorsing RN license to CA
The Breeze site never showed me if my app was pending or what was missing. I had to keep calling. I gave up contacting them June 11th because everytime I did, I got conflicting information. When I checked June 24th, the license number was there and from the records, it was shown as issued June 21st.

KC, I sent my transcripts/license verification through nursys in February. Full application, hard copy finger print cards, and fees (including temp license fee) March 25th. I was told my application and fees were received April 22nd. I got the email to join the Breeze site May 7th. May 9th they sent a letter stating my transcripts hadn't been received, found this out May 14th when I called to check on the application. Resent my transcripts May 15th. Called 2 weeks later to verify they had been received and was told they were but I was showing a blank in the fingerprints area. I was then told I'd have to wait 5-7 business days before I would get any more info. Called back on Friday to see what was going on and was transferred to a supervisor because he couldn't see my application at all (that gave me a mini heart attack). Supervisor says that they did not have my transcripts and were receiving many this time of year that it was going to take longer to process, but my fingerprints had been cleared June 2nd. This process has been a nightmare. I was hoping that since I applied for the temp license I'd at least have that by now, but NOTHING. Knowing this now I would have saved the extra $50 and applied sooner.

I wonder if a lot of people had issues with the education part? I had called the 1-800 number on Monday and was told they had everything they needed except there were (core) courses missing from my transcript. When I called back after verifying my transcript was complete, the new operator said it looked like they hadn't received my transcripts at all. I sent them in Feb and my completed app in March. I guess they didn't think to put 2 and 2 together, so I re-sent them. Another $7.25 towards getting this license Hopefully this time all is well and I'll also have mine by the end of this month...

time2go, what's the number you called to get a human? I haven't heard anything yet and I used a cashier's check so I have no idea if it's been cashed or not. I suppose I should call to find something out.

Flex Care Medical Staffing
I've worked with Flex Care for a little over a year now. The good: I love my recruiter. She's easy to get in touch with and has always helped out if I had any questions or concerns. I went with them originally because they ranked high on the highway hypodermics study and they were very personable. The bad: getting health care with them can be a strain. I just found coverage elsewhere.

HCA salary
I "grew up" in a HCA facility. Started as a new grad on tele then went to the ER after about 9 months. I worked in the same ER for 5 years and loved it! Then all of a sudden our entire management staff quit and we got a whole new team. Also, at that time corporate decided to make a ton of changes that effected the nursing care (new charting, different flow through patterns, demanding shorter door to whatever times, etc.). I felt like they were putting our nurses in tough positions that could have endangered patients, so I left to pursue travel nursing. I've worked as a traveler at another HCA facility and by far it has been my worst assignment. I never got differentials for any of my certs, but I was paid to take them through my dept.

Timeline for endorsing RN license to CA
I sent in my application by endorsement, fees, and finger print card on March 25th. I'm applying for a temp license just in case because I want to be able to work by the end of May (I'm a travel RN). I had contacted my school for my transcripts and used Nursys to verify my current license (in SC) back in February. I'm hoping that's enough time to at least get the temp license and that the Nursys verification doesn't expire first (I read after the fact that you should wait until your application is submitted before contacting Nursys since it's only good for 90 days). Has anyone who applied in February gotten their licenses yet?
