I’m so nervous !! I haven’t received a call ???. My sister said they are dealing with the graduation and they probably haven’t called everyone .

My sister is in the program and she showed me. I know on Mondays the class is in the afternoon.

It is ridiculous! I missed the deadline for a nursing scholarship at my job since I haven't heard back. I just hope I get in. Btw I saw the Fall schedule and classes are 4 days instead of 3 days.

So I just called and found out that Pinning is on the 14th of May which means they aren't concern with our admission process until graduation is over with . This means that we probably wont find out next week .

So tomorrow is the last day for the Kaplan test . Which means we would find out if we get accepted or not in 2-3 weeks . I wonder how everyone else did on the test ?

Likewise ! I hope we all get in because my college of choice I was waitlisted and Monte is my 2nd choice .

Thanks! I’m trying to stay positive but I am very disappointed. This is my second time taking the exam ( for every application you have to retake Kaplan test ) and on the the 1st exam I received a 73% on my reading and this time it was lower. But for the passage there were too many things to remember . It asked a question where would a sentence fit in a paragraph before sentence 3 , after sentence 8, etc . Something in the lines of removing repetitive words , where did the lake form , politics ..... I’m sorry I can’t remember . The passages were nightmares .

Word problems could be tricky but you have to think about what the question is asking you and set it up . My chemistry professor always told us to underline it and put it together to set up the word problem . Look up Khan academy which will be a huge help . As far as acceptance go that information is incorrect . I didn’t get accepted into their evening program and my science gpa was high , I have a bachelors, and all my prerequisite maybe even more . I saw people on this forum who were accepted and didn’t even have AP1 or micro completed . My sister is also a student in the nursing program and that didn’t even help ?.

Thank you I hope so because I don’t know how they decide who gets a seat. But the math is pretty simple . There are 2-3 reciprocals ( one of them didn’t make sense . The answer I got was not a choice and reciprocals are super easy). Lots of adding and subtracting (watch out for your decimals ), percentage which could be tricky because 2 out of the 4 options means the same and I didn’t know which one to choose (example 0.072 % is the same as : ), dosage questions , proportions , ratios, LCD, percent increase (new number/old number x100%), and basic algebra (finding x). I have a lot of chemistry background which is why the math portion was easy.

So I took the Kaplan exam today . I got a 70 and wasn’t happy about it . I got and 85% on math and 85% on the science . I can’t remember what I received with the reading and writing but the score wasn’t good . I hate reading and I kept hearing too much tapping on the keyboards and it was bit of a distraction for me. I literally couldn’t focus and wanted to get the reading out the way .

I have all my prerequisites with a 3.2 gpa as well as a bachelors degree . A lot of people accepted have a high Kaplan score and missing a lot of prereqs. You can't apply to Cochran if you've taken sciences more than once .

Agree! And I'll have more time to study since I applied last minute and had surgery . I literally studied 2 days before the exam .

You can apply to the day program . The deadline is in March . I believe we would have to retake the Kaplan exam.

I've been following and finally decided to post since I didn't get in . I called Monday and they sent out all acceptance emails on Friday. No more acceptance emails will be sent out . A rejection letter will be emailed . Out of 200 students that took the entrance exam, they only accepted 44 students. I also live in CT and don't think that's the case because my sister is in their spring program . Not sure how the grading system is but I don't think it's fair how they decide if it's truly based on Kaplan scores . Btw there's no waiting list.

I plan to do the same once I have more information . I hope others you this post as well.

I figure I come up with this topic to make it easier to go over who was accepted to Montefiore and who was not based on GPA, classes completed at time of application, and KAT scores so that we aren't reading through forums to get answers. This would help a lot of us . Thanks !

Ugh!! This is annoying !! They need a better system . Mines went to decision letter sent on May 23rd . I'm assuming I didn't get in because I didn't see any extra tabs like those whose been accepted . I'm trying to be positive and hoping that's not the case for everyone . I think there's only 12 spaces available ?

Has anyone whose been waiting received letters ? Mines finally sent out last Friday and nothings come in yet .
