  1. That's what I thought. Some people keep studying like for prerequisites, just memorizing.
  2. I know a couple of people who attend County now, who graduated already and one girl who failed. This school is very hard. One of my friend had 4.0 GPA attending and fall 2014 will be her 6th semester in County. She told me that only 15 students of 50 graduated this june. She told me if you want to become a great nurse, and get a job right after - you will after County (if you survive). But if you want continue your education and become a nurse practitioners you should go somewhere else , because your gpa will be screwed big time. In opinion, everyone's experience will be different. Even on this web site we all read how student's opinions are different. One will be proud and happy to be County's student, and another will advise to us "run away" lol. At least you, guys, already kind of know what program will be like. I will go to Valley and I don't know anything about their program. No one opinion, no one person who knows anyone from this program lol.
  3. Oh yeah, way closer. I took a couple of prerequisites over there) it's a nice college overall, but I don't know much about nursing program. I checked the passing rate for license exam and its high enough.
  4. That's awesome)) Congratulations ! I will go to LA Valley school. I won't start until September. We have to do physical before an orientation. Also we have 5 days class in july that will introduce us into the program.
  5. Hello everyone! Did u guys attend pre registration today? I didn't come because decided to attend different school. How did u like the school/ staff? Are u excited ?
  6. Guy's who is still waiting, don't loose hope! Some people will go to other school and they may call u the last minute. I got accepted to County and Valley. I replied " yes" to both. I will go to both orientations and make final decision. So there is someone who will get my spot! I'm sure someone will change their mind in PCC as well.
  7. Did u pick up your package?
  8. I think I already decided, 90% I will attend lavc school.
  9. I've got a call and an email. I am in))
  10. Thanks, I didn't get anything yet any way. )
  11. When does the semester start? In September? In County august 18th.
  12. Thanks for for the info! Even I didn't get anything I still try to plan my summer))
  13. Which school did you decided to attend?
  14. What do they do on worshop? So basically all med documentation must be done between july 15th and july 28th? When does school start?
  15. I still didn't get anything from them. I plan to go to Europe in july, can u let me know when is pre registration and orientation in valley college ( if they gave u any information vie email or phone).
  16. How exciting! Can't wait to start school and quite my job. I know that I probably should enjoy summer break but I can't stop thinking about school)) .
  17. good luck with everything!
  18. Thank you for your post! Honestly, I'm tired of people trying to scare me lol. I know that prerequisites are nothing compare to nursing school. But I remember how anatomy students scared me )))). I never met anyone who said that nursing is easy. It is not supposed to be. We will take care of real people! I am ready to give up my fun life so I can graduate and get my RN license eventually.
  19. This is text message from one of nursing student's in County , I don't give the name so I think the student wouldn't mind that I am sharing: "Hope I didn't scare you off. I've grown to hate this program. I was so excited when.I started but its been the hardest thing I've done and it is all hanging in the balance right now. I hope you get into a school that will be right for your needs. Even if its this one. Study early and stay super OCD organized.. if you fall behind or.lose your things, you're screwed."
  20. wow, LACC' schedule is pretty tough. What LACC nursing student say about the program? Just every one from County seems struggle a lot. I know that nursing will be super hard and I am ready for this journey. . But really scared any way...
  21. I think its definitely hard to switch from full time comfortable job into part time job and stress out because of bills. BUT next semester, or even next year I pretty sure that situation won't change ( for me ). In my opinion, even if I have to use credit cards to survive - I will definitely do it! Nursing is my dream. Nursing is profession that will provide for my future and my family. I think that some students will have huge student loans after school ( like doctors, lawyers, or RNs after West Coast University). I will treat my credit cards as student loans. I am not taking credit cards for clothes or traveling. I will take it for MY education, for my future. I don't think I need to live of credit cards but if I have to - I will.
  22. I think County's schedule is perfect for people who plan to work part time. Friday, Saturday and Sunday are days to work and also people can study after work.
  23. That's great, 85 % is almost a 100 %.
  24. Lavc thread is 2 pages, 11 posts. I never met any nursing student from Valley. I would like to hear some feedback about the program. Any way, I don't worry about it at all. I am so happy that County accepted me! I'm already used to this thoughts that I will attend their program!
