  1. As for the schedule, you may get off on some days at noon, or 3 but by the end of the 1st month of each semester you'll be practicing skills in the lab until 4 or 5 or busy doing paperwork. Once you start doing clinicals you'll be at the hospital at 6am. Take my advice, don't go to this school!!!!! The instructors expect perfection when it comes to clinical skills, if you fail a clinical skill you will be dropped from the program and you will get one more chance at the start of the next semester but you will have to start the semester over again, regardless if you passed your classes with A's!!!!! The instructors are very harsh when it comes to grading and very good at overloading you with work. They expect clinical skills to be done perfectly, you get 3 chances, and you must record your skills in a recording room and you have deadlines for each skill. If you fail your skill you fail out of the program. In second semester, you are expected to do 3 patient care plans per week!!! Vs. other programs where you only do 3 the entire time you're in the program. It is common for 30% to 50% of second semester students to be dropped out of the program b.c they have a hard time keeping up with their patient care plans, school work, and clinical work. If I had to do it over again, I would have applied to Covenant School of Nursing. Please heed my warning!!! It's an awful feeling to see a fellow classmate that has good grades be dropped from the program b.c they did not perform a perfect clinical skill on video, especially when you wonder if you'll be next. Please don't apply to this program, TTUHSC and Covenant seem to have more relaxed instructors with more relaxed demands on students.
