  1. I started last year in Nov and I was still getting shifts cut for low census. I think the soonest they hire is maybe late September.
  2. Hey Everyone, I am looing into Travel Assignemnts in Seattle for the summer. I was hoping to find another traveler to share a place woth. Anyone know a better way to find a room mate than Craigslist. Preferabl a RN or MD resident or soemthing. Thnaks
  3. My experience with travel interviews is that they are very different from other interviews as pointed out they are usually more of a "This is what we do, can you do all this stuff? ok great when can you start?" More times than not it becomes more like a conversation that is loosely work related. They usually have said things like "ooh I have to ask these 3 questions, and they are something dumb like "what does customer service mean to you" Good luck
  4. The housing options are good, you just loose a TON of money. I get 2K$ a month for rent a studio is less than that. So i pocket the rest. It is not glamorous, but we travel to make the most money and see cool stuff right. I recommend you just take clothes or very little. Then find the nearest Good Will for 4 cups, plates, silverware, and non porous stuff. also locate a TJ Maxx, Ross, and any other such places. those are gonna be your best friend for 2$ shower curtains and what not you can just throw away. Craislist can be great I got an awesome leather couch from a Dr office that was getting remodeled. I told them i was a travel nurse and they gave me a 500$ couch for 50$. This is how I travel to make the most of the $. also find a couple work moms or husbands\wives they are the best for little nicknacks. Most places appreciate travelers and are very helpful. With letting you borrow Vacuums etc.
  5. I work at Banner Currently, the are really travel friendly. but as Sweetgurly25 pointed out the census flexes a lot and you can get cut. Also it is starting to get warm here so people are gonna start leaving, and by the end of May this is gonna be the last place you wanna be unless you like 100+ dry ****** weather. But look at Banner staffing for next winter they pay well and usually offer good contract bonuses. Good Luck.
  6. Hey everyone I am a Travel Nurse in PHX, plannign my summer contract back in Washington St. does anyone know of a good resource for maybe hooking up with other travelers for room mates, friends etc? I would love to find another traveler to split rent with and make some serious cash. Any help would be appreciated, and I am sure will beat Craigslsit.:)
