  1. Can someone tell me how to find the Facebook page?
  2. Can someone send me a link to the Facebook page for 2015 N/W program? I can't find it.
  3. My psychiatrist just sent me this email: "Congratulations on being accepted to nursing school. What this policy means is having a valid prescription for a particular medicine is not an excuse to *abuse* it; in other words you can't come to work high or intoxicated on the medicine you were prescribed. That's all."
  4. I just asked a friend who is a current student at Shelby and she said you are fine as long as you bring in your Rx. She also said "It's basically saying if you seem high or they suspect abuse they can test you to see if you have therapeutic levels of the drug, or "recreational" levels."
  5. Thanks. I'm currently emailing my psychiatrist about this. I really cannot imagine how they could legally do this. Maybe the screen has the ability to test for levels of a particular drug to see if there is abuse?
  6. They cannot discriminate against you for having a learning disability or for taking a legal, prescribed drug. If they try you could take them to court. Where did you find the above quote?
  7. I have not received the 3rd email. So what are your plans for childcare?
  8. Does anyone else have kids? I'm trying to figure out how the heck I'm going to do this now that I'm in!
  9. I'm in! Congrats everyone!
  10. Does anyone know when the semester will start? What about the schedule? I feel like they should let applicants know the class schedule before they apply!
  11. Haven't heard anything yet!
  12. So ready to hear something! 222 points.
  13. Thanks LCP! I submitted my application today! Eek!
  14. I studied a ton. I don't think anyone could walk in to the Teas without preparing and score high. Get the study guide and take the official ATI practice tests. Even more important than learning the content is learning how the questions will be asked and what they are looking for in each section.
  15. I'm currently trying to decide between summer and fall. Fall is probably the best choice but I am ready to get started! Tara1986- I made an 87% on the Teas V. It can be done!
  16. I really want to apply for the Summer 2015 class but everyone is telling me how unbelievably difficult it is and that I should wait. Is it really that much worse than fall?
  17. I got an 85% and I'm super happy about it. :) How about you? The bad news is that three of my pre-reqs did not transfer so I have to take Bio 1, Bio 2 and Micro. again before I can apply. Ugh. So I will not be applying for the fall.
  18. 1 week until I take the TEAS! I cannot think about anything else. How did all of you do?
  19. I'm applying and really stressing out. I have three different transcripts and all it would take for me to not get in is for someone to not pay attention to the chronology of them. I take the teas on April 16th. I've been studying like crazy. Glad to have found this group! Hopefully we all get in!
