I am a first year student here at a Southern Ontario College. I completed my Pre-Health Sciences Nursing program with a 3.0 GPA first semester, and then upgraded. If things go as planned, I will get my Pre-Health Nursing certificate with a 3.5 GPA or higher. I applied to both RPN, and BSCN- RN program. As of right now, I got accepted for RPN, and am wait-listed for RN. My Questions were: 1. Do you think I have a chance of getting accepted with a 3.5 GPA being wait listed for RN? (From word of mouth, I have learned there are approximately 50 spots available) 2. I know for a fact I want to do RN; should I take a year off, and upgrade some courses if I do not end up getting accepted, or should I complete my first year RPN and then re-apply to RN for September 2015? Or possibly do the RPN, and then a bridging program after wards? I am unsure as to which route to go. Any advice would be more than appreciated. Thank you!
