  1. I'm attending Marymount this Fall as well. Can't wait!!
  2. Hey Rae, Actually, SU has a campus in Leesburg that is gorgeous/state-of-the-art. In my opinion, SU is far more structured than Marymount and is treated more like a graduate school program. I had my heart set on going there, however it looks like I may go to Marymount since my preference is to live in the city. At the end of the day to me, both schools are so similar... the differences are very minute. If you haven't checked out SU in Leesburg though, you should. It's impressive! Let me know if you'd be interested in grabbing coffee and chatting more about the two schools... still haven't "officially" made my final decision!
  3. Thanks for sharing your perspective blindsey. I can second most everything you said, having heard most of the same information. I know Shenandoah's NCLEX passing rate for this past year was 96%, and I believe Marymount's was similiar. Both schools do have great facilities; although I like that SU's nursing program feels as if it is more at the graduate level, since classes are not mixed with first degree undergraduate students, etc. One thing I will say is after having attended informational sessions at both schools within two weeks of one another, it was like night and day for me. Marymount seemed very disorganized and they could hardly answer many of my questions, whereas Shenandoah most certainly had their act together. At the end of the day though, you are right. Very similar schools and programs, and students from both schools seem to come out strong candidates in the nursing field. Best of luck deciding-- it is not an easy decision!
  4. Hi blindsey, nice to know that I am not the only one working through this! Would love to hear the pros and cons you've heard regarding both ABSN programs. :)
  5. Hello! I have recently been accepted to both Marymount University and Shenandoah University's accelerated BSN programs, starting this Fall 2014 and am struggling to decide which is the better school for me. Any current ABSN students in either of these programs willing to provide input? Discuss the positives and negatives of either program? Thank you!
