You can do this!!! Never give up. You made it through nursing school and will pass this test. I too was a unsuccessful in NCLEX and passed 2nd try. What are you using for study materials? How is your anxiety? How and where do you study? Is there some teacher or tutor through your school which can help you still? Do you take scheduled breaks? Give yourself a "free day"? Don't give up a test does not define you and you can do this and will get through this just like many of us have!!!! Praying for you.

Hello Everyone, I always said like many others, "When I pass NCLEX I'm going to post on here and share my story, because this site has helped me so much." This haul has been a long one for me and I have worked very hard to get to this point with many ups and downs during school as well as after. My Journey: I was a student who was supposed to graduate in May of 2013 but was unable to do so because of HESI- I failed it by 15 points of the required number and was unable to walk or participate in the events. So instead I sat in a summer class with 8 other students who were unsuccessful and a teacher going over test strategies, questions and materials with one of our teachers. He had to pass the HESI exam in order to graduate so I had to more attempts during summer. I passed on the second try. So I graduated in August of 2013 and was unable to take the in class Kaplan course due to it was in May when our summer class was and they didn't offer it in August. My materials used for NCLEX #1: Saunders 6th edition- Like for content review but questions were too easy as compared to Kaplan. That study guide that has floated around on here- Great resource I thought. A binder full of material that went by body system- My own material. Kaplan Qbank- All 1500 questions- Good for strategy thinking and was harder than NCLEX I thought. I finished with 265 questions and in 6 hours. Did the PVT and was taken to the CC page. I immediately knew I failed and sure enough a week later I received my results. I was above the line in the hardest category on NCLEX, Below the line in Pysc, and near the line on the rest of the categories. This test literally came down to the last questions per my Kaplan teacher from the Go Live anywhere class.. Again so close but not enough. NCLEX #2: Materials used I emailed my summer instructor and see helped me sign up for Kaplan go live anywhere class- I had an amazing teacher named ***. This was such a great class due to I was able to hear strategies I had never heard about before and I was like wow this would have been a game changer!- It also came with the Qbank and Qtrainers- did all!- Worth money for me. Saunders- Just content to reinforce weak areas. Study guide floating around on here My own binder of Material. I had 265 questions again: 50 SATA, 2 Pictures, 2 math, 1 EKG, 7 drag and drops and 5-6 exhibitions. All the rest were multiple choice. I ended on a SATA also. I went home and did the PVT and received the "GOOD POP UP." I was so excited yet so skeptical because this never happens to me I thought. I took the test on 04/09/14 and found out per BON on 04/10/14 at 6:00 PM that I was an RN!!! I'm still awaiting my email from the state though! I have to say during the exam once I hit 80 I knew I was going all the way! I took a break at question 100, 180, 230 and then I was done at 265. Every time I took a break I prayed. I prayed so much and had so many people praying for me I honestly believe this is what helped me get through this test as well! Prayer is a powerful thing and it showed me once again how powerful it could be. I have to be honest the night before I almost cancelled my exam because I didn't feel ready. But my teacher and fiancé told me to try because I was under the 24 hour mark and would forfeit a lot and it would just take longer. I told myself you may not be ready but just try. I tried and kept my appointment and passed!!!!!! If I can pass this test you all can too! I knew many individuals who passed on the 2nd or 3rd attempts. I'm not a strong test taker as one can see by this blog. But I did it and so can you!!! So pray and believe and take your time. This test is a marathon whether you finish in 75, anywhere in between or 265. Good luck and I hoped this long blog helped! Remember to Pray!!!

You can do this!!! I had a friend who passed on third try and she studied for three weeks straight and worked very hard and finished the test in 80 questions! The test does not define you it only states that you are safe. Keep your head in the game and pray if you believe! You can do this!

Thank you everyone!! I did indeed pass! I took the test on 04/09/14 and found out at 6:00 PM on 04/10/14 when I checked for my name on the Wisconsin board of nursing website. It said expiration date 02/29/16! I'm still waiting on the email from the state but its on BON so it's true! The PVT worked for me!!!

Hi Everyone, I took my NCLEX RN yesterday 4/09/14. I had again the full 265 questions: 50 SATA, 1 EKG, 2 Math, 7 drag & drop, 5 exhibitions and 2 pictures! When I got home yesterday I checked the PVT and received the good pop and checked three times yesterday and once today and still received the good pop up. I freaking out though because when I went to check my BON (Wisconsin) nothing was updated this morning. I talked to other friends and they said depending on the day you took the test it can take up to two days to update the site. Also, does anyone how long it takes to get the quick results link to show up on pearson vue? Ahh I'm freaking out because I was reading last night where the PVT hasn't worked for like 2% of people and nothing is ever easy for me...so now I'm so extremely nervous even with the "good pop up". Thank you KRustin for the support and advice. My Q bank scores are going up to where they should be and I'm leaving the Qtrainers for the last week before my test. Hearing stories like yours keeps me motivated! If it doesn't this work this time I just may have to look into a tutor! But keeping positive!!

I'm from Wisconsin (I don't if it's different from state to state) and I waited the full weeks. I had issues though because the state failed to send me a piece a paper I was supposed to receive with everything else. I know many others who had to retake the exam waited about the whole four weeks for theirs as well.

Hi everyone, So I have about 3 and 1/2 weeks until my next NCLEX. I graduated in august and took my NCLEX on December 28th, 2013. I was one of the fortunate ones who took all 265 questions and it took me the full six hours. According to the sheet I received from state I was above passing on one category (the highest percentage one the test) below on psychosocial category and on the line (near passing) for every other category. I was able to take the online Kaplan anywhere classroom this time. Per the Kaplan teacher my test came down to the last question d/t you can be on the near passing line for at least two categories (I two or three) and still pass but then all the rest of the categories need to be above passing. NCLEX 1st time: How I studied- I used Saunders book (5th edition) which I thought was a good content review but questions were some what easy, all of Kaplan Q bank and trainers, that study guide that has floated around on here (loved it) and class notes. I would also come on here and read both success and unsuccessful stories and it helped ease my anxiety. NCLEX Test: I had 23 SATA (Yep, I kept track), 7 math problems, 1 telemetry question, 8 put in this order questions and all the rest were multiple choice. I did not have any audio or please select where this would be type of questions. Walking out of there I was hoping I had passed because I had everything you could possibly get on NCLEX, I had put the time in and I felt good and filled with anxiety. Unfortunately, I did not pass. I'm posting because I'm looking for advice and encouragement from the allnurses community! I have been out of school for almost 6 months and I know they say the longer out of school your chances of passing decrease by like 50% or something. I have been doing Kaplan and have been applying new strategies learned as well as using the above resources. I'm still scoring anywhere between 56-58% on the Q-Trainers and the Q-banks. I feel like I should reschedule but I can't. Have many of passed with scores like this? Thanks everyone!
