  1. How do we find out more about the point system? What is the "sweet spot" to hit in order to up the odds?
  2. That’s what I was thinking, but hopefully optimistic that I still had a chance.
  3. If we haven’t heard, does that mean we didn’t get in? I received an email last time, I just don’t remember if it was at the same time that everyone got accepted.
  4. No, I was talking about the email I got from the last application period.
  5. I assumed we were all bcc'd on the email, it is generic with an attachment.
  6. You can't be so sure. I received the email that I was not selected at 7:48 pm last year.
  7. I typically feel that I am a patient person, but there is only so much I can do to distract myself from checking my email every 3 minutes.
  8. I check both Eservices and my email. I also don’t have notification alerts for emails on my phone. I get so many work emails that I would be dinging all over the place.
  9. I am still checking, just in case. I suppose I am a glutton for punishment.
  10. My status updated to "qualified" and I received the email late last night. I also turned in my packet a few days before the deadline. I kept hoping they checked and changed the status based on the date received (or applicant number) and that I wasn't stuck in limbo.
  11. Did they add that there are additional classes you must take while you're in nursing school too? But yes, ideally you would graduate with your BSN a few months after you pass your NCLEX.
  12. You will have better luck looking on Sac State's website. https://cce.csus.edu/associate-degree-nursing-bachelor-science-nursing-ADN-BSN-collaborative They have a "Nursing Collaborative" with ARC SCC and Sierra. I know it is limited for ARC but they do offer a bridge with the University of Phoenix as well.
  13. I wasn't going to worry about looking until the week of the 26th.
  14. They will send it to your los rios email, they do caution about forwarding and recommend that you check the schools email.
  15. Hi Amber, I emailed the school when I noticed that my application was no longer on eservices. I wanted to confirm that they would be having a Spring 2021 cohort and that the Fall applicants were going to be selected for that term. My application is now restored on eservices and it was confirmed that they will be sending notifications in the beginning of September to our Los Rios gmail accounts. Hope that helps.
  16. They are not going to be accepting more applicants for the Spring cohort. Those of us who applied will be it.
  17. You're right, it wouldn't make much sense to have two 1st semester cohorts, clinicals would be a nightmare. I am sorry to hear that you have to start again in your current semester. I wish there was something that could be done for you guys regardless of me wanting to get in this year. I am honestly not worried about me getting in, I have a great job that I love, it was just my turn to go to school after he graduated in December and I was hoping it would be this fall. I'll just wait patiently for the school to make a decision on what they will do with our applications and hope for Spring. I wonder what the 4th-semester Professors will do when the current 4th-semester graduates? Are they off until next Spring?
  18. Thank you for the information. It is incredibly disappointing to hear something like this on an unofficial thread of hopeful students prior to the school officially announcing it. Did the director happen to mention when they would notify the current applicants regarding this? Was there any talk of updating the ARC Nursing website?
  19. Thank you for the update, Alyssa. I can't say I am surprised. I will hold on to a little hope until we hear something official from ARC.
  20. I emailed ARC to double-check, they are still screening applicants for 2020. Typically we would wait 8 weeks for final selection, however, they will probably be delayed due to everything going on.
  21. Classes are resuming for current ARC nursing students. They just received an email this evening. The 4th semester that was set to graduate in May will still graduate.
  22. Yes it is horrible! He almost died from his accident, in the hospital for nearly 2 weeks - it was a broken femur. I am glad they were able to hold a spot for him; he will make a darn good nurse one day. If you got in, you should make sure to comment how far he has come with his recovery. I did, considering he wasn't able to walk on his own for quite a long time. Wait, you did mean the accident was horrible, right?
