Hi Tina, The people that heard back like myself were offered spots for other cohorts. A few were offered summer spots and some were offered in the fall.

No, they do not give points for letters of rec. but I am sure they are taken into consideration. I'm sure they review those parts of your application before the interview.

Tina, No they did not even mention my personal statement, but i think rizzoland13 is right every experience is different depending on the person that is doing the interviewing. Rizzoland13, Thank you! i was NOT expecting that at all! I thought i had a year to prepare now i only have 35 days till school! Yikes!!! My orientation is going to be 2 days long and it's 4 day before school starts We will be getting our schedule the day of orientation. Im taking 15 units, which is 6 classes

Tina, I think they had a lot of problem with other people writing the applicants letter to the dean for them. They just want to check your basic writting skills. Make sure you can form proper sentences and know where to place your commas etc...They are not grading you on what you specifically write. I hope that helps

pursue, Yes your science GPA and pre-req. non science GPA is worth a max of 30 points, and your overal GPA is worth a max of 10 pts.

Tina N. I think its out of 55 but i can't be exactly sure. I had all of my classes done, so i don't know exactly how that would work. No problem :) I'm glad I could help. I know how it feels going into an interview you don't know much about. Good luck, I'm sure you'll do GREAT!

Hi Tina, Ok...So i'm going to try and go off memory so here it goes... Scince and non-science pre-req GPA:3.5-4.0=15PTS 3.49-3.0=10PTS. Total GPA 3.5-4.0=10 PTS, 3.49-3.0=5pts. If your degree is in Biology 2 pts working in the medical field, military service, involved in church, involved in an organization, special circumstances 1 pt Interview 10 pts Written 5 pts I think it was a total of either 50 or 55 pts. I'm not sure if that is everything, but I hope that helps. The interview/pre-advising session was about an hour not including the written. I didn't have a time limit for my written. I heard they interview about 50 applicants and they only accept 20.

Hi Tina, I did my interview last Friday. They way they determine if you are a good candidate for their program it goes by a points system and the interview. During the pre-addmission/interview the interviewer will add up your GPA, and all other points together so you know EXACTLY where you stand. He said they do not consider anybody with less than 30 points total. After adding up all my points he told me I had a 90% chance of being accepted into the program but they still had to meet in April to make the final determination. One of the questions he asked me was "Why do you want to be a nurse, besides wanting to help people?" For the essay question i was asked what professional goals in nursing I had. But during the interview he didn't ask me what specialty I wanted to go into. After I took the essay questions he read it and scored it right in front of me (that goes towards your overal points). It's out of 5 points. So after leaving the interview I knew exactly how many points I had and where I stood. I hope that answers all of your questions :). It was very relaxing and not high stress at all. But that didn't mean i wasn't CRAZY nervous!

I turned my application in right when it opened. I heard the longer u wait to turn in your application the longer it takes to get to it. I put I was Christian, the only religious question I was asked was if I was involved with any thing with a church. I do first aid and meal train for my church. But that question was only to see if u get an extra point on the scoring sheet.

Dandysandy, yes I had completed all my pre reques. And they had 1 spot available! !!!! But now I have to get everything ready and paid in 42 days!!!!!

I had mine on friday, and they offered me a spot in summer 2014 so I start this May!!! They asked questions like why I want to be a nurse. I didnt get asked any religious questions. They also asked what I expected the program to be like. And then the 2 essay questions. If I could choose 2 people dead or alive fiction or non fiction who would they be and what would you talk about. And what are mt professional goals as a nurse. It was 4eally laied back. I hope that helps
