Abortion education in CNM programs
Thanks! I'm in the process of doing so- I'll post the results here as I get them. Was just asking in case anyone could short-cut this process.

Abortion education in CNM programs
I've been looking at multiple CNM programs and am finding it difficult to tell which programs provide abortion education as part of their curriculum. Does anyone know programs that definitely do or do not provide this?

Also keep in mind that Stanford gives free Caltrain passes to employees, so that is another option.

Moving to Palo Alto, CA
Check out this map for crime and commuting: Trulia Local (can't post link); Search Palo Alto and then click the appropriate tab. Craigslist is your best friend; Neighborhoods vary widely, so make sure you go drive around them and are comfortable with them. The biggest issue is finding a place that will not have a horrendous commute, so check out the map above as well. I know a few people looking for housing who are starting the new grad program in September. PM me if your friend would like the details.

Positivepwr- It's my understanding that HR only calls you once, after you've completed all your interviews with potential offer(s). That way you have all your options at once. jbl123 - Congrats! we will be colleagues! =)

I was told at the panel interview that they were interviewing 45 and hiring ~30. I also heard that "most people" should hear by Aug 7.

Yea- not to cause any panic... but I was told to not expect an answer earlier than Aug 13 =(

RN_15 Yea- I definitely felt similarly! They were so nice and open! Best of luck on your last interview!

For D1, I know she (the manager) had not yet put together the panel as of Friday. But she will be on it.

Positivepwr- I feel ya! I texted my friend who works on the unit and she said to just be patient- they will call! I'm interviewing for CCU tomorrow. Each unit sets theirs up based on when they can get a panel together/when the manager has free time.

They're looking to hire 2 on D1 (confirmed with manager) and she is only doing interviews on Tuesday- all day! So should be a fun day. Is anyone else interviewing with BMT?

I definitely hope so too!! If you haven't gotten a chance to drive to the building, I would definitely go check it out. The map is very accurate, but the address (if you put it into Maps/Google Maps) takes you to the far edge of the complex and the parking lots do not connect.

Pretty straight-forward. They try to keep the mood light in the room because they know everyone is nervous. They'll call on Friday to let you know if you're moving on to the next round. If not, you'll get an email.

So for those of you holding out one last bit of hope, apparently there is an alternate list that they are using to fill in spots vacated by people who have already accepted positions elsewhere!

@xx_remix thank you for posting this. I called, but was not able to get through to anyone. Fingers crossed for everyone!

@cf702 Updated status in what way? As in, if you were accepted did it change, or if you were rejected did it change?

Stanford New Graduate RN Residency Program Summer 2015
There's a general BRN number, but if you hit 6 when you get to the first menu, it takes you to the "Breeze Support" people instead of having to wait for 30+ min to get someone on the phone from BRN. They can also transfer you internally, so you'll get answered sooner.

xx_remix Try calling and hitting "6" for tech support. Tell them that there is something wrong with what you are seeing on your Breeze acct. Sometimes they're nice and will look at all the back end stuff and let you know your status.
