Moving To Tampa from NY _ Tampa Gen Rates?
Yeah, i know that real estate ain't that cheap anymore in Florida. I got a brother in New Tampa that just bought a condo for what would had been a brand new 4 bedroom house a year or 2 ago. The gain I have from selling my house will indeed enable me to pay cash for at least a new 4 bedroom house and considering the taxes there, I think my family would be able to live more comfortably than staying here in NY. I am paying close to $10,000 in property taxes here in LI right now which will probably increase next year. Ridiculous I tell you. I love NY don't get me wrong but it's just too damn expensive. I think this move will turn out good for me and my family. It will take me some time to adjust but hey, we all have to make sacrifices. Thank you for wishing me luck. I appreciate it.

Moving To Tampa from NY _ Tampa Gen Rates?
Thank you for the replies. I called them up directly and needless to say, I was very disappointed. I guess this is to be expected especially coming from NY. I am thinking about doing Travel nursing now. Maybe do some local assignments in the Tampa area for a short while. But i'm just concerned on how travel nursing as a job will affect my future plan to apply for a mortgage loan. I know that real estate has skyrocketed in Florida. But I got such gain from selling my house here in NY that I could afford it. Again, thanks so much for all the valuable information you all had posted.

Moving To Tampa from NY _ Tampa Gen Rates?
I appreciate your input... Yes, I did use the "search" option many times before I even registered and posted my query and all I get are old threads (from last year) about starting rates for new nurses. I would appreciate any info about Tampa General base rates for experienced nurses in the ICUs. Again... Thank you for your reply!

Moving To Tampa from NY _ Tampa Gen Rates?
Hello, I'm in the process of selling my home here in NY and will be moving to Tampa hopefully within this year. I currently work in Northshore University Hospital in Manhasset and would like to know what are the starting rates for experienced ICU nurses (8 years) in Tampa General Hospital. Any info is appreciated. Thank you.
