I am a shy person as well but I've worked with Geriatric patients for years. In doing so I am able to be myself and not feel judged. My personality began to shine more and more and now I feel comfortable talking to Management, Pharmacy, Home Health nurses and so on. Maybe you should get certified in case management and work for an insurance company like Blue Cross or Aetna. Good Luck

Hello, I work in the Healthcare field and recently graduated with a degree in Substance Abuse Counseling. I am currently working on prerequisites for nursing. I would love to do Psychiatric Nursing. When I talk to a few nurses and express my plans to pursue Psych nursing; they seem to turn their noses up. When I asked why most responded the money is good but it's not worth it. Can anyone give me some insight into Psych nursing ?

Hello, I'm interested in knowing if anyone recently graduated from a Hospital Based RN Program. I want to know if you feel like the training was adequate and if so where did you graduate. I know they are a rarity but I'm interested in attending a HB RN program. Thanks in advance for your responses.
