Hi, I am having some trouble finding an answer from the nursing board in Ireland, but here is my issue: I am an Australia trained nurse who is registered in Australia and Canada. I currently live in Canada, but I want to move over to Ireland. The problem is that the Irish registration board says that they require a 4 year bachelor of nursing degree, and in Australia, we do our degree in 3 years. I have emailed the nursing board a couple of times but I can't seem to get anything but generic information and I can't find an answer to this question. So my question is, are there any Australian trained nurses out there who have successfully registered in Ireland with or without a bridging program, and were there any additional requirements (ie. years of experience, etc.) that you had to meet prior to registration?
