  1. Hi, Since I only got two responses, I would actually like to talk to BOTH of you. I could do a very interesting comparison of the three different places. I need a little personal information, so I will give you my personal e-mail address, and I am hoping we can converse a little outside of this public forum. My e-mail is [email protected]. The type of information I need is: * Nursing specialty * Education * A piece of interesting information about you * Nursing Experience * Goals for the future * Family * Nursing/educational/practice/professional issues in your country * The treatment of nurses (are you resepected, overlooked?) * Anything else that you think might be important related to nursing in your country. You don't have to answer all this at once, would like to get a good dialouge going. If you feel comfortable, please respond to my personal e-mail address. Thank you, Michelle
  2. Hi, I am in a master's class right now, called Nursing Issues and Trends, and one of my assignments is to connect with, and interview a nurse from a country other than the US about nursing issues and trends in their country, and later I must write a paper about the similarities, and differences. So, if there is anyone here from another country, or who may know someone from another country who would be willing to help me, it would be greatly appreciated if you respond here. Thank you, Michelle
  3. "* Provides care to patients. Assists patients with personal hygiene, nutrition, comfort, and safety. Maintains comfortable, orderly, safe, and clean environment. * Prepares patients for examinations. Provides routine information related to medical treatments and procedures. * Measures and records vital signs. Collects specimens. * Prepares examining rooms. Selects and lays out medical supplies. Maintains medical equipment. * Records and reports patient information. Retrieves laboratory test results and patient files. * Escorts patients and visitors. * Orders and maintains inventory of supplies. * Performs clerical functions related to medical activities." This sounds more like a CNA to me... and they need 12 months of school for this? OK... so maybe a fancy CNA...
