Advice regarding applying..
Hello Everyone, I am seriously considering applying to Columbia's ETP program with a specialty in nurse anesthesiology. However I have no experience working in a medical setting. I have great letters of recommendation, a 4.0 GPA overall and a 1080 on my GREs. Am I being realistic in applying for this program? Do they weigh hospital experience heavily? I know that its very competitive but this is my passion, if anyone has any advice at all I'd appreciate it. Thank you!!!

How to learn A&P I in a week or less... (I've really messed things up)
I'm sorry for all of the things that you've been forced to endure. I do hope that things get better for you and I'm sure that you can pull your grade up to at least C. You just need to be patient and apply yourself over the next few hours and days. Granted you might not ace the test but you CAN still pass. I think the tips that everyone has given can help you in many ways, reading the material out loud also helps. Maybe you can meet up with the teacher before the exam and get some extra help in with them. I just wish you the best of luck.

Physics, Inorganic, and A&P?!
Hello Everyone, I am facing a dilemma. I have a BA in Psychology and am interested in Columbias accelerated program that leads to a degree in Anesthesiology. However, I have to take A&P 1 and 2, Microbio, Inorganic Chemistry 1 & 2, as well as one semester of Physics. This doesn't include the extra credits to make me a full time student. With three semesters to take all of these classes I'm not sure what would be my best bet. Does anyone have any recommendations? Thanks!

Dilemma, Advice on NY Programs Please!
yes, I have everything else except those sciences and there isn't any way I know of for me to take them this semester. I'm even willing to commute to the city to take them but I'm not sure if any other schools have them open.

Dilemma, Advice on NY Programs Please!
For a while now i've been looking into different nursing programs, I cant decide what would be the ideal option. I live in Rockland County, NY and I'm looking into any and all nursing programs that I can go into WITHOUT taking the science pre-req's first. Here's a little background first. I just graduated with a b.a. in psychology, went to grad school for a program and absolutly hated it. Thus prompting my decision to do what I really want, and not what someone else wants. Eventually I want to be a CRNA, but I know I need a BSN and at least 1 year of working in ICU before I can even apply to the program. Today I tried to pick up some of the pre-reqs needed for most programs at a local college but they were all closed, no sliding in at all. Does anyone know of any programs where you do not need pre-req's first? Im looking for the best, most affordable option available to me. If it means I need to take out loans, then I will but I don't want to have to wait another year before I can even start to prepare for a decent nursing program. Any help and advice is really appreciated!
