  1. Christina, I have an interview tomorrow on zoom. I'm guessing some people pulled out. What kinds of things did they address in the interview?
  2. I also graduated from tech in the RN to BSN. Was a teacher for 10 years but have only been a nurse since August. I got my rejection email and they said there were 23 applicants and they only accepted five. Experience is the only thing I can guess even though they said it wasn’t even necessary. I wouldn’t have wasted my time or money if I had known otherwise. Wasn’t meant to be I suppose.
  3. Congrats Christina! I applied with a 4.0 and glowing recommendations and didn’t even get an interview. They only took 5 students. I wonder why such a tiny amount? How much nursing experience do you have?
  4. Yes I applied for the pmhnp BSN to DNP. Did you apply for this also or the FNP?
  5. I scheduled mine this morning. Getting it done next week on Tuesday. I wonder when we will get our schedules. That is what I am most anxious about because I can not do weekend clinicals. Getting anxious!
  6. Mental is 5 weeks during the summer. It's a 2 hour mental class and 2 hour clinical. Even out of district fees are very inexpensive compared to universities.
  7. It's $55 per hour and out first semester is only 9 hours and then 8 hours after that I believe except mental is 4 total. I've heard great things about TCC but the super cheap price is what had me hooked! Now books and supplies is what will cost more than the classes from what I've heard.
  8. Is it just me or does it seem like there are a lot less people on this board and in our facebook group than in previous semesters? I wonder if the group is going to be smaller this next semester.
  9. Just thought I'd let you know some information I got from the nursing department. There is a CPR class offered through continuing education in web advisor for cpr and it's $38 and is what we need to take. I am signed up for it. Someone join me :-) Also, Ms. Altman told me that orientation is almost always the first week of December and she said we won't know which summer session we will have until mid spring. I had lots of questions so hopefully this answers some for you too.
  10. Just got my acceptance email!!!
  11. How old are you? I'm 38. Hoping I'm not the oldest too either!
  12. The group doesn't come up on a search on facebook. Is it set to private or secret or closed or something maybe? Could you post a direct link to it on here please?
  13. Not to sound rude but how in the world does someone not get at least the 75 on the test on all the sections?? Honestly if someone can't be successful on that easy of a test, there's no way they could be successful in nursing school with much much more challenging criteria. The math section was middle school level. I'm honestly surprised they don't test on the a&p and other sections just to narrow down more the people that could handle nursing school. Maybe if there aren't as many applications then they will have the list of people that are accepted even more quickly. We can hope!
  14. I took my HESI yesterday and got a 93.5% and have a 4.0 GPA. I need to go get my application turned in but how do you know when they are open or not. I'd hate to drive all the way up there and them not be there. Anyone know for sure?
  15. Wow, that's awesome! Congrats on the 95% Hesi. I take mine on Wednesday. Which section do you think was the hardest? Any tips?
