  1. I finished and got my RT degree in 2009 and was hired at an Urgent care clinic for over 3 years. The company downsized and I was laid off. I have been looking for an rad tech position for at least 6 months and no hospital would hire me because I have no hospital experience. So, I decided to go back to school to be an LPN, which I am a current student, then RN and maybe MSN. My advice to people who are undecided on which field of study to get into-- search for job openings in whichever field in your area and the job outlook. Something else to consider, think about how many diagnostic staff there are in a hospital vs nurses. There are definitely more jobs out there for nurses. So now, hopefully I will be able to combine both and be a radiology nurse! yey..
