  1. From what I understand it could be difficult to find a job in the area whether it's as a BSN or ADN RN. Did your friends go on to get their BSN degree?
  2. I did and I actually just met with the advisor this morning. I am planning on going to the information meeting tonight. He said they will admit about 45 students per Spring and Fall semester.
  3. Interesting because I just met with an advisor at FRCC and he told me that they are doing a point system. 75% is based off the HESI exam and then the rest of the points are obtained by GPA and you get extra points if you have worked as a CNA, etc.
  4. currently hold my AA degree in English. My original plan was to take the pre reqs required to get into the UNC nursing program and complete my BSN. However I have heard it is highly competitive. My biggest fear is getting all my pre reqs done and then just waiting around to be accepted. I recently looked into Front Range's AA degree nursing program. It seems like a lot has changed with how they accept nursing students in the past few years? Does anyone have any information on the new acceptance process? Anyone just recently accepted who was not on wait list? I had read that they may have gone to a point system? Would love any information. Thinking about going to ADN route and then attending UNC's RN to BSN program. Any thoughts or advice? I will be done with my CNA cert at end of April and plan to work as a CNA through school, etc.
  5. Wow! Umm I don't even know what to say to those posts.
