A Step by Step Guide for Foreign RNs desiring Illinois license
I know it seems confusing because it actually is. I was so confused too before im not sure if I still want to go on. .no receipt from nbi. All you will do there is have yourself fingerprinted by their personnel, the end. Next, send that card along with your payment, whatever way you choose credit card or check. I used accuratebiometrics. Im not advertising them whatsoever, only that when i applied i also used their service and best thing to do is recommend them to you. But there are also other vendors out there just google it. I sent it via lbc or dhl, cant remember, but takes 3-4days for it to be delivered, right, so i think i waited a week or less for them to send the receipt to my email.

A Step by Step Guide for Foreign RNs desiring Illinois license
Hi. I've accepted your friend request though I don't know how to message you privately, I think I can't because of the membership thing here. To answer your question: they sent me just 1 copy. It might be because I wasn't specific when I message them, but I think you can request for 2 or 3 copies, just mention that in your email. I'm willing to answer your questions as best as I can but I can't also disclose my contact info here.. And i'm not always online.

A Step by Step Guide for Foreign RNs desiring Illinois license
Hello! you must request for a fingerprint card from the idfpr site. check their contact us, call or email them. or try this email address - [email protected] -OR- [email protected]. I did all of them. I'm not sure who did mail the fingerprint card to me, but I did receive it after 2-3 weeks. include in your email your Name, contact number and most importantly your mailing address. In my experience, they didn't reply to my email. They just sent it via mail without any notice so you must be really patient and hopeful that it will eventually be mailed to you. I'm from the Philippines, by the way. if that helps :) After I received the fingerprint card, I went to NBI to be fingerprinted. Basically, it's just traditional fingerprinting process. then, send the card to an authorize biometric vendor in illinois. The process takes a while so you really need a lot of patience and faith.

Continental Testing Service - questions?
Hi Darwin! I sent the required documents to my father first, he is in Illinois. He then sent the documents I sent him to Continental Testing Service. He enclosed a check in it and a cover letter saying it is a payment for my NCLEX application. About the demand draft, I'm not so sure. I'm not much acquainted with bank terminologies. But I went through Ma'am *** (CTS) emails to me a year ago, she specifically mentioned to pay by money order or certified check. If money order and money draft/bank draft/demand draft are the same or used interchangeably, then I guess the answer is yes. Good luck Darwin.

Continental Testing Service - questions?
hello everyone. I have problem with the payment method. I am from the Philippines, and I am applying for NCLEX-RN in Illinois. I was done filling up the form in the Continental Testing Service application, then at the last page where I was supposed to select the payment method the gray point was stuck in the submit application and pay through bank check, I want to pay through credit card but it cannot be selected. My father is the credit card holder, he is in Illinois right now. I used his credit card since the beginning of my application -- with CGFNS and Accurate Biometrics, there was no problem. I emailed the CTS customer service for Registered Nurses and explained my dilemma, she asked me if I am applying in the US and I said I am in the Philippines right now but I am applying for the NCLEX-RN in Illinois, then she replied if you are using a Philippine address, you must send a cashier's check. As I understand it, All international applicants cannot pay through credit card payment form and must send a bank check or money order instead? I replied to the customer service again, but she hasn't replied yet. Please please feel free to comment. I haven't read any thread about this, or if there are out there I didn't find it. Other sites that present instructions for international nurses applying for NCLEX-RN in Illinois did not mention this problem and some stated that paying through credit card online is available. Thank you!

A Step by Step Guide for Foreign RNs desiring Illinois license
hello there! there is no live scan vendor here in the philippines. but what you should do is to call idfpr (no. is on their site) or email them (i found an address from posts: [email protected]) (another i emailed through their site, go to professionals section, click nurse-rn at the bottom you will see email questions about this profession click that then write your request).i didnt know which way did it, but they did send me the card.to request for a fingerprint card and also include when you email them your mailing address. it usually takes 1-2weeks for you to receive their mail. the fingerprint card is actually the size of a short bond paper but is harder/thicker. when you receive it go to the nearest nbi station ask if they do fingerprinting for us/nclex applicants. mine is free. but to be sure just bring extra money with you it might be a different case considering we have different locations. sorry its kind of hard to type right now, to arrange my comment. but you get the idea. hope this helps.

Pinoy *******. i know there are lot of threads and posts regarding this topic but none seem to answer my question. in getting the IL fingerprinting card, i have send an email to ([email protected]), i wrote i am an NCLEX applicant and i wish to request for the IL fingerprint card, is that right?they haven't replied yet. will the fingerprint card be also sent to my email via attachment, if in that case, should i print it in an ordinary bond paper or any special paper? I have also read that i can request at this address: Department of Financial and Professional Regulation ATTN: Division of Professional Regulation 320 West Washington Street, 3rd Floor Springfield, IL 62786 Telephone: 217/782-8556 which means i have to mail to them via LBC/FEDEX, tama po ba? which would also mean it cost me more? if i use this medium, will they also send me the fingerprint card via mail to my address as in ************? will i have to pay them for that? please help me!

NCLEX F.A.Q.S 2013 update for PiNOY nurses
hi there. so that means you took the NCLEX exam first before an English proficiency test? i am a little bit confused. because i thought upon applying for ces and after their evaluation, cgfns will prompt you to have the scores/result of either an ielts/toefl as a requirement of Illinois board of nursing unless you were waived by them, that no english proficiency is anymore needed. i'm from the philippines, i am also interested to apply to illinois. what country are you from by the way? i'm also a newbie, so i've been searching the net just to have information and guides on what to do. are you now working in iilinois? thank you!

How to: Applying for the CGFNS CES
hi. about the mode of payment. i don't have a credit card. but my dad has. he works in illinois. i am in the philippines. i'm planning to pay the fees for cgfns CES through his credit card. how can we go through this? i already asked him to send the number, his complete address plus the three digit numbers. however, through my research i have found a payment form, at the bottom of the page is a blank for a signature of the credit card holder. how can i obtain the signature of my dad if he's in illinois and i'm in the philippines?

registered nurses in Illinois
greetings to all nurses. i am a newly registered nurse here in the Philippines and i am planning to become a USRN in Illinois. so far, i have read a lot of posts as well as gone to websites such as ncsbn, cgfns, cts, idfpr as part of my research. and i have learned a lot. thanks to everyone who's very kind to share infos. i also attended a seminar regarding visa processing, cgfns, nclex application processing. the seminar was very informative considering that before i went there i have honestly 1 to nothing idea what to do or what is ces,cp,cgfns and everything. i only have one idea, (which is the reason i was interested to attend the seminar) to become a USRN, i need to take the NCLEX exam. i have a question: since I had received my license card just last month, and i haven't gone to trainings yet, i have no work experience here in Philippine hospitals or any health care agencies. if ever i passed the nclex and all the requirements after that and still no work experience here in the Philippines, will Illinois hospitals still accept me or employ me? i have asked this question to the one conducting the seminar and she said yes even without experience at all you can be employed, because you already complied to the needed requirements and you already have passed the nclex exam which is the key. they look more into the passing of the exam than your work experience. is it true? true to all scenarios? I am asking this in advance, even though i haven't started to apply for the CES and everything because if ever they don't need to have a work experience then i will just focus on my application and nclex exam, my time and effort will not be divided with finding work plus exam preparations. and if the opposite, then i must find a work now. pleaase any insights and experiences will really help. thank you so much everyone! and to those nurses(i have read in posts) who really have the time to reply to queries even though the questions are repeatedly asked which was in fact answered earlier. thank you for your kindness and patience!!
