  1. Hello allnurses: I am moving to chicago in a little over a month and wanted some advice on where to live. I am from the southwest and the only time I have been in Chicago was for my interview. I have tried looking online at the paper for housing ideas but feel totally lost because I don't know anything about the neighborhoods. #1 needs to be a somewhat reasonable commute to Loyola Medical Center (at night, maybe 30 min max but less is better), reasonable housing costs would be good also. A plus would be somewhere with some youngish people maybe 25-40 and a real nice area with pretty apartments/condos but not all college people bc I want to meet older people to. A dream would be something with a view of water but i think that may be crazy expensive or long drive or whatever. Does anyone have any advice of neighborhoods, specific parts of an area, or what not to look at (if you know what a nice one bedroom costs in the place you siggest even better but I can always check out the Chicago reader or trib if I need to once I can narrow it down to some places)????????????? I saw someone suggest oak park on another posting does anyone know more about that neighborhood? What others can you think of that woudl work.....................please please i need help.
