  1. No. For CSULB, extracurricular activities don't count. What matters are only your Prereq grades and TEAS.
  2. On the certifiedbackground website, the order code CB76 is for "Background Check Only" and not "Background Check + Medical Document Manage". Is this code the right one? Or is there another code that we have to enter?
  3. I was number 18 on the alternate list and I just got accepted! Congrats to everyone and hopefully more alternates get accepted as well. :)
  4. No email for me either. Since alternates didn't get an email about orientation, do we show up or not?
  5. You can take some easy 1 unit Kin classes, or maybe another language. That's what I'm doing since I also dont have any more GE's left.
  6. I think we sign up for other classes just in case we don't get accepted. If we do get accepted, I think our classes will be switched to the Nursing classes.
  7. My score was 9.24 and I got an interview and I'm #18 on the alternate list. I think Mostly Csulb students are on the alternate list. Possibly people with really high scores from other schools can still be on the alternate list like that person with 9.57.
  8. how did you know what number you are? Did you call the office?
  9. Congrats you guys :) I on the alternate list. Hopefully I can still get a spot at orientation.
  10. Are you a student at Csulb? That could be why.
  11. How was the interview guys?
  12. Bring a photo ID, a 2x2 passport photo, and a pencil
  13. So I guess now CSULB's nursing program is so competitive that you absolutely need a 4.0 GPA in everything and a high TEAS test score... I feel bad for many of you guys with really good scores (from 9.4-9.5 range) that are much better than mine.
  14. The communication exercise is only on March 4th from 8 am to 4 pm at the Nursing building. Did the coordinator send rejection letters too?
  15. Yea my score was 9.24 and I have micro in progress. I think only Csulb students are considered for alternates. I could be wrong.
  16. Did any of you get an email about the communication exercise? Im so surprised since my score was only 9.24 and I got chosen.
  17. OK thanks. Do you know what building/room we can submit the application?
  18. My scores are: Science GPA: 3.53 (Microbiology in Progress) Ge GPA: 4 Teas Overall: .887x2= 1.774 Teas Math" .967x2 = 1.934 So I have 9.238, but I think they round to the hundredths, so I would have 9.24. I have a low score because of my in progress class, so I dont think im gonna get accepted until I finish Micro with at least a B.
  19. Yea unless you are a transfer student, you may need additional forms. Do you know if you can submit the application in person instead of mailing it? I just want to be sure it gets there on time.
  20. Do I have to order an AP transcript and attach it to the application? The school already does have my AP scores so idk if it's necessary to spend more money on additional transcripts. I ordered the official transcript but the school wants it sealed so idk if it will display all my AP credits.
  21. Hi, im applying for Fall 2015 and need some help filling out the application. I have AP credit for Stats from high school so what should i fill out for semester/yr, name of college etc.? Also, for Course Number/Name, for example, do I just enter "BIOL 208" for Anatomy, or is there another number i need to enter?
  22. For GE GPA, they only count a Critical thinking course, oral communication course, statistics course and written communication course.
  23. Hi! I'm a prenursing student at CSULB and I was wondering if I should take either anatomy or microbiology over the summer instead of taking both during the semester (so i can apply earlier). i already took Chem 140 and got an A. Im taking physiology right now, and it doesn't seem so bad. I heard that the microbiology teacher was hard but it was possible to get an A. Also, i heard that anatomy was also hard and many people got a B. I'm considering taking one of the two at a community college around my area, specifically Cypress or Cerritos. Problem is that the microbio professors at both community colleges aren't so great either. However, the Anatomy professor at Cypress had decent ratings. I know both courses are difficult, and the pace will be faster over the summer. In the end, should i take one of the classes over the summer or just take them in the semester?
