I applied for my NP furnishing number and NP license at the same time. When did you apply for your California license? If you haven't done so, I recommend you apply for the furnishing license asap since that will take some time to process and lot of employers want you to be able to prescribe by the time you start working.

Hello all. I am very frustrated so had to write on this board. I graduated in december and applied for my NP license and furnishing # back in November which payments have cleared almost 4 months ago. I have wonderful job offers from multiple clinics however my license have not updated on website. I called numerous times to boards and 90% of time phone has busy signal. Emailed them countless times with no response. Few times I got through they told me to give it another week. And another week goes by with no changes. The employer needs me to have valid NP license and furnishing number before I start not to mention I would need to apply for my DEA which will take another 2-3 months once NP furnishing number becomes available. This is so frustrating to just wait and nothing happens. Any suggestions??? BTW I have colleagues who graduated same time as me and their license was up back in January. The rep I spoke to told me few weeks ago they have all the information from me and its matter of getting it processed. I know there has been a delay according to the boards website but I am beginning to think my license will not update for a long time and I keep telling my employers give it another week. Not sure how patient they will be with me. Also I need to start paying off my loans. First payment is due this month. *sigh*
