Failed the NCLEX-RN 4 times! =( Help!
Nothing I posted was illegal or did intentionally use copyrighted material for the whole world to see. If students who had a hard time passing the nclex than offering public sites to help sort precautions would be necessary for those who had a difficult time with the exam. I'm just helping people, people who had passed their knowledge when I tool my exam so that they will better prepped for the eXam. I did nothing wrong and I don't need a lecture from you or others who may think the actions of some (those who really wanna help others pass the exam) outweigh the good of publicizing information to help students. I have never posted copyright content. I can't believe I'm even typing a rebuttAl to you. Please have compassion and allow those who passed to share their knowledge so others can benefit. Trust me...Saunders, Kaplan, hurst, lacharity are benefitting financially from our post.

Failed the NCLEX-RN 4 times! =( Help!
Links are posted to help students pass thee nclex. CDC is a free website and does not require membership since the information is for public. Not sure why admin tries to bust people for helping those who need it. Seriously this is another reason why I don't like all nurses. Not fair to police members who want others to succeed. I'm canceling my allnurses account. Big brother is watching.

Failed the NCLEX-RN 4 times! =( Help!
Keep your head high nurse. you can do it man. Here's what helped me...not sure if you've done the following. I also had issues containing my anxiety throughout the study process and especially several days before the acutal exam. here's what i did first and foremost: I took the sauders diagnostic test (CD ROM that comes with the book) I printed the study schedule and followed it religiously. I thought the content in the saunders was way superior over Kaplan and it even helped me answer kaplan Qbank and QT with more confidence after i finished the 6 week schedule. I DID NOT answer one question during those 6 weeks. I spent time re-reading certain chapters i had issues with and took key notes on 4X6 notecards. I reviewed each of my notecards for 2 hours each day. I think i made over 2000 notecards, but it really kept the patho/pre/post/interventions clear in my head. Second: After completing the sauders review----you must purchase LaCharity Priorities/Delegation/Assessment 3rd Ed-the reason why because the 3rd Ed offers online services to answer questions in NCLEX format. Do all 21 chapters and make sure you review correct and incorrect rationale. I honestly believe this book closely resembles most of the questions from the NCLEX. It will build a solid foundation when to delegate and which pt you should see first. Third: I completed all 7 QT---i honestly completed them 2 weeks before the exam. I went over each of the QT right and wrong answers to ensure i understood why i got it right and why i got it wrong. This is when Saunders review will become helpful. Forth: INFECTION CONTROL is huge on the NCLEX. The CDC website CDC - 2007 Isolation Precautions:Appendix A - HICPAC is by far the best and most accurate infection control measures nurses must be able to distinguish. I went over this list several times per day leading up to the exam. This website is 100% accurate and the nclex centers their questions based on the CDC recommendations. Fifth: Endocrine System/Electrolyte Imbalances/Blood Panel: review everyday. Make a habit of understanding it and how the body behaves and what nursing interventions we must take to correct the imbalance Sixth: Believe in yourself!!!! If your stuck between two answers-read the stem of the question and find out what would be the first or most important thing to do for that patient. If not enough information is given in the question than most likely an assessment type of answer would be the best answer. If you have enough to answer the question than always stick with least to invasive intervention based on the need to use ABC or MASLOW's. I took 2 day's off from studying and only set aside notecards i had weaknesses on. I did not answer one question. Do something fun the day before the exam...trust me it really helps to not have to thing about the exam. On the day of the exam, just take a deep breath and tell yourself "YOU GOT THIS." We all believe in you... If you have any questions feel free to send me an email.

I need to pass nclex rn
My study schedule: Take the Saunder's Diagnostic Test before you touch anything. Print and follow Sauders study schedule PLEASE BUY THIS BOOK: [h=1]Prioritization, Delegation, and Assignment, 3rd Edition [/h]Linda A. LaCharity, PhD, RN, Candice K. Kumagai, RN, MSN and Barbara Bartz, RN, MN, CCRN Do every question in lacharity and understand the rationale to each and every question. This book saved my butt for the exam. Most of the questions were worded similarly to the nclex Lots of questions on infection control...PLEASE UNDERSTAND THIS WEBSITE INSIDE AND OUT CDC - 2007 Isolation Precautions:Appendix A - HICPAC THE CDC does a great job delineating all the different standard to transmission based precautions. I had more questions on infection control than anything else. Know lab values-just know which ones appear abnormal. Look over endocrine system: thyroid, adrenal gland, DI/SIADH, and so forth Use Kaplan-they have awesome questions to help you prepare for the exam. i would advise kaplan after you finish the saunders study schedule. Do all 7 question trainers and dx text. The q banks were challenging and it helped me through my studies. some people will disagree with kaplan but i believe kaplan questions were way harder than the acutal nclex exam. Stay above 60% and you are good to go. Remember to study everyday...do not take a few days off and study one than another break...consistency is key.

Kaplan Results!! Am i ready??? Having test anxiety!!!!!! HELP!!!!!!!!!!
sounds like the QT exam scores were similar to mine before i took the exam. I also believe the nclex was much easier than kaplan question trainers. I took the exam on Feb 20 and passed at 75 doing exactly what you did. I also used saunders content rather than kaplan because kaplan did not explain as thorough as saunders. Another awesome book that helped immensely: LaCharity LPA book...that book saved my butt because most of the nclex questions were worded very similar to the practice questions. I also spoke to another classmate who confirmed with Kaplan if you're scoring above 60% on the last three QT's than you are good to go. I wish you luck in March. If you have any questions just shoot me an email. The most important element is staying calm and positive, and put aside any anxiety. Two days before my exam i decided to not touch anything related to the nclex and left those two days to do whatever i pleased. Make sure you find time for yourself and center yourself several days before your exam. Go for a hike, hang with friends, watch a movie, go fishing, do something other than studying. GOOD LUCK NURSE!!!!
