That makes sense to me... but why would she tell someone that she is still working on notifying people if they were accepted or wait listed? Let's be honest... nothing about their process has made sense thus far.

I can't find the Facebook group when I search for it. It may require you to be in the same network as the person who created it.

Yeah, that's for this year's graduating class. I saw that someone had posted that they created one for this year's entering class but I can't find it on Facebook to see how many people are in it.

I'm sorta wondering if they are holding off on rejections because they aren't 100% sure how long to make the wait list. Since they are SO FREAKING LATE this year, I imagine a lot more of their top picks will go elsewhere. That would be horrible though. I'd rather just get an outright rejection though so I can start making other plans. APU has rolling start dates so that's what I was going to look into next. I didn't have a lot of pre-reqs done before so i hadn't applied anywhere else but I'll be done with everything in June. What about other people? Have you looked at other programs as next steps?

Only 29 are able to post. I think all of the acceptances have been sent out... maybe not the wait list yet.

To me, it makes more sense that they would divide up the workload by program. So RF sends out MECN while -------------- sends out MSN or what-not. However, I honestly think they are all coming from ---------------- since she's the director of admissions. However, I'm definitely hoping I'm wrong :)

I wonder if they are notifying people first who applied to multiple programs? Has anyone gotten in that only applied to UCLA? I remember they asked that on the application.

Also, doesn't ------------ work for --------------? I don't think they have the same position.

I would love to think this but logically, it makes zero sense to me that they would split it up like that but need to send the notices so far apart.

Did it seem like it was directly to you? Or could it have been a mass email?

I just tried calling and no one picked up. I wonder if they just stopped responding to people. I wouldn't be surprised! I'm sure the admissions coordinators aren't actually the ones at fault but they are having to deal with the fall-out. However, SOME information would be helpful.

I think the lack of communication has been the most frustrating thing. I think if they were honest about why some people have already been notified and what has caused some of the delays, I would be far less frustrated.

Does that mean we won't even know if we made the wait list until the 25th?

It's confusing because I don't like the idea of being denied because I happened to be in a really competitive batch of people while someone else got in because they were in a batch of less qualified candidates. I'm sure there is something more systematic than that. I can't imagine the wave of frustrated emails and calls that the admissions office is getting right now.

This makes me feel a little better but I still don't understand why some would be done while others aren't. They have a limited number of spots. It's not like they take everyone who has certain qualifications. They'd have to rank us somehow. I'm so confused!

Got this email from a friend who has also applied: "I emailed -------------, the admissions coordinator asking him if we all find out today or what the deal is. And he said they are still in the process of finalizing admissions decisions so we will all know over the next couple of days.... so it could be a couple of sleepless nights for us until then." WHAAAAT????

Did they give you a decision date by chance? I'm just curious when wait listed people might start hearing... I feel like I may be in that boat if I have a chance at all. ha!
