Hi rshapi04, I'm also debating between NU traditional DEN and MGH IHP. I received an extension from MGH for the deposit, but have to pay in the next few days. Still waiting to hear from current students about the support given for finding preceptorships (specifically in the MGH program), as well as NU clinical placements. If anyone on this forum can speak to either that would be great!

I spoke with someone yesterday and we're actually “Fifth year/other undergraduate” for the first half of the program and then considered graduate students for the second half of the program. This is unique to Northeastern (MGH you submit as a graduate student from onset). Just FYI there's a max borrowing limit for undergrad students $57,500 for independent students (age 24 and over) and $31,000 for dependent students (under age 24).

Anyone applying to an FNP program trying to choose between NEU and MGH? If so, what made you choose one over the other? Aside from the cohort size they seem very comparable. I just checked cost and it looks like NEU is about $15,000 more than MGH (since FNP requires 54 credits instead of 43 for the masters portion). Does anyone know about federal loans? I had thought that because northeastern gives a BSN you have to apply for undergraduate loans which has a lifetime limit. Anyone have more information about this?
