  1. RNredhead, ikarus7401 made a good point - a builder/tester/analyst has the potential to be a trainer anytime if they have the skills necessary to teach people. However, a trainer may not be able to transition into a builder/tester/analyst role until they have had a good bit of training - be it official or unofficial, taught or self-taught. All the best! Hope you will be able to make a decision/choice that will eliminate regret from the equation when you look back at it a couple of years from now. :)
  2. Hi trein, I agree with hey_suz - certifications/certificates only help to bolster your resume where there are opportunities. So, if you are looking to maximize your return-on-investment, make sure you scope out the opportunities first. On the other hand, you never know when an opportunity will show up - it may pay to be prepared regardless of what the current job market looks like - unfortunately, it's a chance you'll have to decide whether to take or not :) All the best!
  3. Hi Ativan, You know, sometimes, even when you are in an informatics position, you have to try to gain experience without any support. So, you're doing alright, and if you keep trying, you'll get to your goal. Don't worry! Once you get to where you want to be, though, remember your experience, and always strive to help others along to the best of your ability. Whenever you can, even go out of your way to help someone! The payoff may not be immediate, but let me tell you that goodness will always have its rewards :) All the best!
