  1. Thanks for this info!!! It really helps!!
  2. When you put out your resume--did you put your old address or the new one??
  3. THANK YOU ALLL!!! When you did your resume did you put your home address or the address you were moving to??
  4. Has anyone moved across country?? Say they are a nurse in Illinois and they want to move to Texas. If so, how was your hiring process?? Did you perform interviews via Skype? Was it hard to get the attention of hospitals in other states? Thanks!
  5. So true, so true!! If everyone works as a team it is great!
  6. EXACTLY!!! You are 100% correct!!!! Actually that exact thing happens ALLLLLL the time!! Just yesterday I was struggling to change a guy and a nurse came in and turned off the light and left, never helped. UGH!!!!!!!!!!!! You understand completely!
  7. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO true, unfortunately our RNs have selective hearing and NEVER answer the lights. We get a "call light report" after our shift and it tells how many lights were over a minute. if it says 8 or so all that means is NOONE HELPED US!!! One PCT can't meet then eeds of 17 patients properly. I have learned CYA----OH yes!!
  8. Ha!! So true!! having this many patients is crazy!!
  9. THANKS!! I am so glad you can understand!
  10. You are soooo right!! ALL of the other nurses on my floor are just wonderful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. THANK YOU!!! Actually I went to the Chapel in the hospital before working with her, believe me God was right by my side. The teacher removed the nurse from her roster of nurses to assign students to. So the student was with a different nurse this week.
  12. AGREED AGREED AGREEED!!!! You hit the nail on the head!!
  13. THANK YOU!!! I agree on the percentages. I wish more people wanted to work as a team, it helps serve our patients better. The student is wonderful!!! Actually, he told me yesterday that his teacher was in the room too. I didn't notice her, thought she was family. and SHE asked the nurse to help too...
  14. Thanks everyone!! She was sitting in her chair drinking her starbucks, playing Candy Crush on her phone. She wasn't waiting for any calls, or charting, she was just plain being rude and lazy. A couple coworkers came to me last night and explained "that's just what she does" (sitting and not helping). No big deal, just wanted advice from others whom have dealt with it. I will keep it professional
