  2. Hi all! I am a new RN-BSN who has had extensive preceptorship my last semester of school in our local hospitals NICU. After graduation, I applied for a position with a hope and a prayer and I was offered a new grad residency program and start next week! I am very excited and love the unit with my heart of hearts but I am looking for some advice/tips/ words of encouragement! Thanks so much, greatly appreciated!!!
  3. Good luck with your preparations!! I used the Saunders book as well it was really great and helped a lot...my school also provided us with ATI Virtual review course that provided us with a self paced online review with tons and tons of review questions and access to extra materials and nclex study help....Amazon kindle has a free RN course book and Nclex review book from Kaplan also..Good luck to you :)
  4. Pvt worked for me...within 30 minutes of completing the test I tried to register ..got the good pop up and officially became an RN on Tuesday...(took boards on sat) ..... Couldn't be happier
  5. My fave..." Nurse I need the bedpan!!!..... Me:"how do you toilet at home? " pt:" oh I walk to my bathroom" ...What the????!!

Lol to all! ..I had a patient tell me I reminded her of her cat because I always welcomed her warmly and am so happy to see her ...lol..I politely said thank you that's very sweet..and then died laughing all the way back to the station....the doc on the floor..was like " did she really say that?" I said yes and now he meows at me everytime he works....great I'm ruined lol
