Passed NCLEX now what
I actually have spoken to the HR recruiter directly, prior to my even graduating and upon receiving my license, she was the one that advised me to email my request to her assistant, I certainly am not putting all my eggs in one basket and have sent my resume out to several places. I was just wondering how long is too long to wait?? I would love to stay here, however if another opportunity knocks I will be answering

Passed NCLEX now what
I am a new grad (1/14/14) and a brand new registered nurse (passed nclex 3/1/14). I work in the medical field on the business side (for a large group). I have experience with direct patient care having been a HHA for many years prior to my now 8 year long career. My plan was to transfer to the nursing department here, having seen many people move from clerical positions in clinical positions as well as having knowledge that new grads are indeed hired here. Once I was notified of my passing I sent an email(that is the policy) to HR notifying them that I am interested in one of the many positions we they had listed internally and requesting the opportunity to update my personnel file with an updated resume as well as my license.. That was a week ago and still no response not even an acknowledgement of receipt..What should I do I don't want to seem pushy, but.... Any advice on job hunting ??

NCLEX fear is taking over
I PASSED !!!!!! my license just arrived in the mail... let this serve as a lesson never to ever let anyone discourage you. You are the only one who truly knows what you are capable of; If you are dedicated and stay focused all things are possible. Whatever higher power you believe in, know that he/she will never put more on you than you can bear

NCLEX fear is taking over
Thanks Aimee2013, I appreciate your advice. I have definitely seen an improvemnt in my content knowledge I believe i have concreted what i thought i knew by researching the questions i got wrong as well as the ones i got correct but was not completely sure why the answer was what it was. I now know of meds and ailments i have never, ever heard of before starting my review and i have faced my fear of the endocrine system , reviewing and understanding its mystery a little more in depth. I truly feel ready i know my weak areas and i tackled those first. You are 100% right @ You'll never feel completely "ready", and a professor once told me that "a little anxiety is sometimes a good thing it provides an extra mental charge to think through your choices". CONGRATS on your success and ill keep you guys updated

NCLEX fear is taking over
Thanks vanessaem, I have found myself waking up to do questions in the lacharity book at chapter 11 on that, i finished the Kaplan 2013-2014 NCLEX book and use saunders at times.i have completed 85% of the kaplan questions. Then the tutor tells me that, i was so very discouraged but i am a fighter i have worked too hard for this, i was never one to curl up and be kicked and i am not about to start now.My best is all i can do and thats what i intend. Good luck to you and i just needed someone who can actually relate to view it from the outside and let me know

NCLEX fear is taking over
I take my nclex in 10 days. i have been stduying for a month using Kaplan getting qbank scores starting @ 47% to my latest last night of 75%. my question trainers are as follows QT1 67 QT2 75 QT3 58 QT4 62 QT5 60 QT6 64 READINESS 64. my friends have been telling me about ATI which is free from our school, so i tried it maybe once, yesterday my tutor emailed to say i wasnt logging in she sent me qeustions to do and i did them while at work in 30 minutes and asked for a comprehensive test being that im scheduled in 10 days. In a nutshell she said my answers were too brief, i got 1 of 20 questions wrong (a ABG question) and she basically told me (better yet ill paste her response" 'we have a number of other content areas to progress through before the comp predictor. You can reschedule NCLEX up to 8 AM the day before. It is better to reschedule than take NCLEX when you are not quite ready" i could not sleep last night woke up @ 4:30 in such a panic i threw up. Should i reschedule ????
