Anyone have any idea when we receive the first stipend/ORC payments?

Thanks MocaPoca - that's super helpful!! I'm still waiting for my contract to be countersigned but it's really helpful to know that stuff for once I get my welcome packet. Another observation -- my program doesn't start until Sept. 29th. I wonder if that has something to do with my hearing back so late? who knows.. maybe they aren't done giving out awards. Just throwing out it out there again (in case future applicants are reading this forum) I am an incoming master's PMHNP student and did not get my finalist email until Sept. 18. Anything can happen!!!!

My last name starts with J and I'm starting a master's psych NP program. I honestly don't think last name or program type has anything to do with it. I'm not sure why I got it so late!!! But it goes to show that you really never know what will happen up until the deadline.

I am in total shock - I got a phone call and the initial congratulations email today. I just submitted the W4, verification, and banking info - they are due on 9/19 for me. I must be one of the last people notified. I can't believe what an incredible award this is!!!

I just looked over last year's thread and it actually looks like there were a good amount of people who got their credit checked but didn't get the scholarship. I am not counting on it. Oh well!

I had a credit check 7/29 and still have not received word. I'm wondering how many other people out there got a credit check but have not gotten a finalist email? Thanks.

Same here... credit checked on 29th and nothing else yet... I'm trying to accept that I won't get it, and then if I do, it will be a very pleasant surprise. If I don't, I will reapply next year and life goes on!

From Minnesota, going to school in Oregon, and no word here yet, but I did have a credit check on the 29th... anyone heard back today at all?

Thanks Marina for trying to calm our nerves!! My credit is excellent so I don't think it should prevent them from awarding me. I'm just hoping I'm close enough to the top of the list to get offered. It sounds like it's being done in a rolling fashion so I'll try not to freak out til the end of the week.

I don't think the representatives on the call line really know what the scorers are doing. If they had started sending out finalist emails, someone would have posted here. Happens every year.

Argh. I have been scouring past years' forums trying to figure out the likelihood of acceptance after getting a credit check. I really hope this week (hopefully tomorrow) brings news at least to someone, to show that they are starting to let finalists know.

I am an MSN NP applicant and also had my credit checked as a hard inquiry into Equifax on July 29th according to creditkarma. Hope this is a good sign and looking forward to news this week!!!
