So I applied to UF's Generic BSN for fall 2014. I went into my ISIS account and noticed that I had holds. It said I need "immunization records, emergency contact info, and a permanent mailing address" before I can register for classes. So does these mean something? Does anyone else have these holds on their account?

Hey guys, so I submitted my application, but under the concentration tab all that I could select was "no concentration/not applicable" does anyone know what this means?

Yeah I have a killer essay ready! I just have to get this thing fixed before the deadline. It's making me so nervous . But BOWESA how long did it take them to accept you with your new application? I'm afraid to do that because the deadline is so close

Yeah that's the process I'm stuck in now. Like I've already been admitted for fall and I sent in the change of term form over a month ago. It shouldn't take this long, all it should be is the click of a button I feel like. Anyways though I had to get on the phone with the recruiter for my county and he said it will be done within the next 4 business days. So hopefully I don't have to go down there haha! And kmcnally when you went to go fill out the nursing application and clicked on the soar link, were you able to fill it out right then and there? Because I know that with ucf you have to submit the request for the application and then it takes a couple days to actually be able to apply

I'm a little confused. I'm applying to the summer bsn but right now I'm waiting for the undergrad to change my term(I had to switch admissions from fall to summer). So when you guys went on to soar were you able to fill out the application right then and there or did you have to wait a couple of days?

Congrats kmcnally on your 93. Another thing I don't like about the TEAS is that they have survey questions. How are you suppose to know if they count them towards your score? What if you get the survey questions right, but miss an actual test question. Do they replace them or no? And missind33 I'm applying to USF too. They also have a good program and don't require the TEAS test. they base it off of 30%GPA 30%Pre-req and 40%Essay

Hey guys I applied as well. I'm seeing a lot of good stats out here and I just figured I'd throw mine out there. Over all GPA: 3.75 Pre-req GPA: 4.0 TEAS: 80 (I hated taking that test) Do you feel I'm competitive? I'm freaking out over here lmao. I've worked so hard and I feel like this TEAS is what is holding me back

Yeah, they're highly competitive. I think you should be fine as far as requirements. I'm not really sure on what exactly UF wants in a student, but you're right when they say UF students get first priority. Personally I think it's a load of crap. It should be a blind admission process in my opinion. Just make sure you apply other places as well and especially IN YOUR STATE!. Because for instance, I applied to Tennessee as an out of state transfer for their BSN program and they didn't even offer me an interview. They were accepting students with 3.2 GPA's from UT. So I called them and asked why I didn't receive in interview because I felt I was more qualified than a lot of the other applicants and they told me since i was an out of state student they didn't even look at my application. They said they only want to accept students from within UT because they're trying to make a tradition. So now I'm fighting with them trying to get my application money back lol.

Last year I was rejected because I took my last pre-req over summer and they wouldn't accept the completion because it was past spring semester. Anyways, I'm a transfer student from a Florida college. I have a 3.75 cumulative gpa and a 4.0 prereq gpa. Also, I dont know if it looks any better when they review my application but I stacked all my prereqs together and managed to get A's in all of them. I just know the feeling of being rejected and i'm hoping this will be could enough to get me in. Let me know what you guys think.
