  1. Is uworld the only thing you focused on? I hear great things about it. I'll have to check it out! I'm not losing hope. I know I will pass. Hopefully, third times a charm
  2. I graduated from a nursing program in May. I took nclex for the first time in June and failed with 265 questions. My school offered the hurst review so that's all I used. When I received my paper from the BON, I was near passing in all areas. I had taken it my second time the first of August and I failed again with 265 questions. I did the online Kaplan review for the second time around. I need some encouragement because I don't know what else to do. I was told if you make it to 265 you're very close to passing but my confidence is going down. I'm mentally and emotionally drained from all of it. I had a job offer in the NICU at a local hospital and now I'm afraid I'll lose my job. Any advice on how to overcome this beast?? Thanks!
  3. AHH that's so exciting!! CONGRATS!! Enjoy your time off because it really does go by so fast and the fall will be here before you know it. So sorry for the late response! I'm just seeing this now. We learn about pathophysiology next semester in adult I. I heard the spring semester is the hardest semester out of the two years. You only have to take one pharmacology class too. I think at other schools they have more than one semester of pharm, but our school teaches the basics the first semester then as you progress into OB, Psych, Peds, and other courses you will go more in depth with the drugs. Mondays: Health Assessment 8-11, Pharm 12-2, Role Prep 2:15-4:15 Tuesday: Health Assessment Lab (You are in group A or B for lab. Group A goes from 8-11 and Group B is 12-3) The labs are held in Laurel Plaza at Fort Sanders. Wednesday/Thursday: Foundations Lab or Clinical. For the first month you will have lab at Laurel Plaza then start at the nursing home for three weeks. For me, the nursing home was very boring. Don't stress about it. You're there from 730-11ish. You will give some baths, feed the patients, and change some beds. You will start at the hospital in mid October. The first two weeks you will be there on Wednesday or Thursday (depending on what group you're in for lab). After the first two weeks, you will go every other week for two days a week. Friday- Foundations 8-10 & Pharm 10:15-12:15 if you have any questions feel free to ask!! congrats!!
  4. I just got done my first semester. We had pharm, health assessment, and foundations of nursing. I know next semester we have psych, adult one, and ob. I've been told we also get to stand in on surgeries too. I have learned so much in just one semester. The program is tough and you definitely get what you pay for.
  5. I'm in the program at TWC-fsn right now, and I absolutely love it! You get a lot of hands on experience between labs and clinical. The instructors are super nice and really want their students to do well. The clinical groups are about 5-6 students, so you get more one on one attention.
  6. The newsletter should include info about the background check, drug test, uniform, books, etc..TWC sent a form with a list of shots and a physical form that needed to be filled out by your doctor. The form was part of my acceptance letter. I think the physical form needs to be mailed in by July 1st.
  7. I think you're right. I believe the 400 level courses is for senior year. I just got really nervous/excited!
  8. Is the list for the whole year or just the fall semester?
  9. How many people are in your lecture and lab?
  10. Ksargen I'm on fb! I'll send you a message. Vorln do you have fb?
  11. Ksargen I'm on fb! I'll send you a message!
  12. Ksargen I know we have fall break October 11th. I think it's Thursday to Sunday.
  13. Volrn I sent you a PM.
  14. Congratulations!!! I sent my $50 to hold my seat a few weeks ago! Now that I received my acceptance letter I want to know more information. The wait is killing me.
