  1. I came across your post today and I knew I had to reach out to you for help. I have been out of nursing school for 6 years and have taken the Nclex RN 5 times. I lost all self confidence in myself and depressed. The past 2 years, I have dealt with health issues that required many surgeries. Now that I have overcome those health issues, I am ready to conquere this test. I haven't gotten the actual "no" yet, but I am dreading patiently for a letter/email telling me I am not eligible to take my nclex RN. See, I live in Texas and I have read that if you haven't passed the Nclex in 4 years I will have to go back to nursing school. I can't go back to school full time and I've been crying for hours. This is MY fault and I am the one to blame. I should have passed my test years ago and shouldn't have given up. Life took a turn on me and yes, I was sick for a long time, but that's no excuse. I have called Pearson Vue and they told me I have to wait 4 weeks and if I haven't received my ATT by the 4th week then to call back. Anyways, I saw your post about how you were out of school for 16 years and you were looking into taking your Nclex in a different state. If you have any advice to help me find a place where I can take my Nclex I would greatly appreciate it. I'm lost and I don't know where to go from here. Thank you. Also, congrats on achieving your goal and becoming a RN!!! I have two wonderful kids and I want them to see that no matter how hard life knocks you down, you get back up and fight for your dreams/goals.
