  1. Where would I look for work from home Jobs or any nursing jobs for that matter? I've been looking on the hospital's job list but if i don't want to work on the floor where and what type of jobs should I be looking for?
  2. Yes! The lack of quality of life is the #1 reason why I HATE my job. I have no life and I've had to give up a lot to work these hrs and schedule .
  3. I've been debating as to whether I want to get my BSN or not. Right now where I work there is no incentive to have it and I hate the job I do so it's kind of hard to find motivation to go back to school. I would get it if i knew I really needed it but right now everyone I've talked to has acted like it wasn't really necessary unless you plan to go above and BSN??? But I enjoy being at home, not the type of person that has to have a lot of people around me and I work well by myself and in charge of my own work.
  4. Is the pay about the same as a hospital? I've heard a lot of people talk about how bad the pay is for school nurses and clinic nurses but don't know about working from home.
  5. Mom told me about someone she knew who's wife was a nurse and worked from home. It has been my dream to be able to work from home! Unfortunately I don't know anyone personally that does this nor do I have a clue on where to start or what is needed to be able to get a job like this. So if anyone has any advice or know of any places hiring I'd be very very appreciative.
  6. Thank you so much!
  7. I've been a RN now for a yr, working on the floor. I'll be honest I hate it. I hate the 12 hrs and I hate the schedule (no personal life at all) and I'm not crazy about the floor I work on ICU - a lot of people die and it's drawn out. I've been trying to think about which way I want to go with this career and I struggle because part of me doesn't want to put a dime towards continuing my education and then another part of me does in hopes that it'll open more doors for me. Some friends of mine are going for their APN and idk, I thought about it. But to be honest I don't really know much about degrees and what they allow you to work as. For instance I was looking at master degree and had no what the difference was or where each one allowed me to work. So if anyone has any info they'd like to share about degrees/certification and the types of jobs you can do with them I'd greatly appreciate it 😊
  8. I'm looking into going back to school to get my bachelor's degree. I was thinking about WGU but didn't know if I'd be able to get into CRNA school later on down the road if i decided to go that way. Also can i do CRNA school online or would I have to go to an actual brick and mortar school?
  9. I need some help! I'm an RN student and at my school we have to take Dosage Calc. We have 4 test, they keep the 3 highest grades and we HAVE to make a 90% overall on 3 tests. I've taken 3 test so far and overall I have an 87% . Back in January we had 1 class on Dosage and that's it, its the only class we will get for the entire semester. My teacher gives us these study guides and I work thru them and on the 1st try I get them all right, no problems at all. I have worked every study guide she has given us, I've worked problems from the book that they told us to buy, and I have tried to find problems online to work without any success. The problem is that our study guides are easy problems and very very few complicated ones that you have to think thru. I would like to have practice problems for Infusion time/completion time and you know the harder ones lol
  10. Right now I'm a Sophomore in Nursing School and one of my classes is Psych. Well my upcoming test is ALL Psychopharmacology. And I've been staring at these 20 pages of notes for a while now, and was wondering if anyone had any advice on how to memorize all of the Psych meds and their Indications and Nursing Implications? I can't even pronounce these things LOL.
