    The housing market is literally insane here. The prices are outrageous. Prices are going up and up. My father just moved down from Michigan and is having a hard time finding "reasonable" houses. He is looking up in Volusia County which is 2 counties North of Orange County/Orlando. I agree with the other poster, Winter Park is great but pricey as well as just about everywhere downtown. If you go out West, East or North (Ocoee, Waterford Lakes and Sanford--respectively) the prices go to appx $100-$120/sq. ft. of house. Hope this helps, would be nice to know in the range that you can afford, because if you are coming from up north, you can afford some good places. Dawn
