Hey alternates, have you all received anything in the mail with further instructions? I received an email notifying us that we need to attend orientation in order to hold our spots. I know that those accepted have a bunch of things to complete before orientation, and I'm wondering if/how this applies to us alternates. I called ------------ last week and she said that there hasn't been any movement on the alternate list. Guess we'll all find out at the orientation. Has anyone declined CSULB for another school? This wait...

I finally received my evaluation and basically received some shocking news. Long story short, I was told that my statistics course did not count because it was taken at a UC instead of at an approved CSU or CC. The advisor said that the material that my course covered was not equivalent to what they were looking for! I asked if I could send the course syllabus to petition, but was denied. The stats course I took is equivalent to an intro stats course at my local CC, which according to assist.org, is transferable to CSUs...but apparently this cross articulation is not accepted. I also applied to other CSUs, and I'm freaking out that my stats course won't count for any of them I was given the option to enroll in Math 200, extended learning's 2 month intro stats course. I panicked and ended up enrolling. It was about $750, ugh. I'm pretty frustrated with the whole situation...feel like I'm having horrible luck with applications.

I still haven't received my first evaluation, and I submitted everything in the beginning of December. I called to ask about the status of my application and the lady on the phone said she'd have an advisor email me about that (almost two weeks ago). I have yet to hear back... How long was the wait to receive your initial evals? All my prerequisites are complete...I have no outstanding to-dos. This wait is pretty agonizing!

Hi friends! Transcripts and TEAS score were submitted in December and I'm still waiting on my initial evaluation! I called EL and the nice lady on the phone told me they're a bit behind with things due to winter break! Sigh. Hopefully we all hear back soon! Fingers crossed!
