  1. Yeah definitely something to ask about. I think they said I would work for 2 weeks at the Prelicensed pay then switch the the Staff Nurse I pay / title, but again I'm going to ask to make sure!
  2. That's all they were able to tell you? Hmm. Monday can't come soon enough I guess. I am very tempted to ask about the sign on bonus I read about.. I don't know how to approach the question, but I am definitely going to ask! :) Do you already have your license? I know I was hired on as pre-licensed, which I thought we all we, but I do have my license so I wonder how that works as far as pay and everything. I do hope all this is covered on Monday, if not sometime throughout the week. I have never been inside the hospital itself so I am very excited to see what it's like!
  3. I was wondering the same thing. I did ask about the hours since it says "rotating shifts", the response I received stated I may be working days or nights or both depending on my preceptor. I'm hoping they explain more about full / part time and benefits. I have to go get my fingerprinting done this week so I may ask a few questions while I am there, maybe HR has some answers.
  4. Yes see you at orientation!
  5. Wow San Diego huh? What a culture shock going to Bakersfield huh? LOL I'm coming from the Antelope Valley, about an hour north of LA. There are some cheap apartments / townhouses here so that's why we are staying here for a while. I think Bakersfield is also cheap but I haven't looked into housing there. What made you choose KMC?
  6. I live a little over an hour away so I'll be commuting, I'm definitely down to carpool! We will be looking into tehachapi but will be commuting for now.
  7. Did you accept another position? Just curious why you declined it, I don't know much about the facility.
  8. That's what I thought, July 28 but I don't know when we start on the floors. Hope it the next week!
  9. I emailed you. I can receive PM but not send. Thanks for your help!
  10. Are you a new grad by any chance? I currently live in Rosamond so the commute isn't going to be too fun. I am really hoping for nights too. I haven't heard too much about this hospital, except for the lay offs. I went to nursing school in Florida so I didn't get a chance to check out any of the local hospitals.
  11. Will you be working days or nights? I don't really know too much right now, part time or full time or even day or night shift LOL I was so excited for the phone call I didn't even ask. On Tuesday I will for sure ask!
  12. Labor and delivery, awesome! I would think 12's but on the job description it says something about working 5 out of 7 days. Maybe that's just for a general county job.
  13. I was so nervous during my interview, when they asked if I had questions my mind went blank! What unit will you be on? Also, is it 12 hour shifts? Sorry for all the questions!
  14. I was offered a position for the NICU, so excited! Do you have any idea how long the orientation is (days, hours)? I go this Tuesday to fill out paperwork, maybe they will give me the info then.
