  1. @document, thanks for the advice. It is very helpful. @Ruby Vee, i will be sure to check out those other threads on night shift. Thanks again for the comments!
  2. Hi everyone, I recently finished precepting on night shifts because i am hoping to start off working nights. I am usually more of a night person but i am having trouble getting use to this new sleeping and eating patter since they have all changed now. I need to know the tricks and tips of working nights. How to stay awake, how to control hunger, how to get enough sleep! How do you switch back to waking up in the morning on your days off without dragging for the rest of the day or having headaches? Thanks, the girl who feels all out of whack!
  3. Thanks so much @DixieGrace for your great advice! i will defiantly have to try the EKG for dummies.
  4. My long term goal is life flight. I know i will be working on the floor for a couple years just to get experience, then hopefully move to ER. Continuing education is always a good thing i just didnt know how fast i should get it done and if there were other advantages besides saving money. I feel like i might miss something if i go straight for MSN. Just like skipping over LPN and going straight to RN, i felt like it put me at somewhat of a disadvantage. It does seem to be a time saver! Thanks for the advice and comment cayenne06!
  5. Hello everyone, i am very anxious to be taking the NCLEX RN exam. So to all of you nurses, what has worked for you. What are some tips for studying or insight on what to pay more attention to or the need to knows. Are there any good online websites for practice questions. Are certain modules in ati better than others? Especially for medications and pharmacology, what are some recommendations for studying these?
  6. Hello everyone, I'm currently in my last semester of nursing and have been questioning what to do after I'm done. I know I want to further my education but have recently heard of fast track to msn. Should I just stick to bsn or go on msn? What are the advantages of both and what are your thoughts about fast track?
