Thank you! Although networking is more difficult for me as I have just moved to Massachusetts....but I will keep trying...my neighbor works at a local hospital...I will start there. I am also looking into an RN refresher course.

I graduated from nursing school and joined the Navy, worked for 5 years and resigned my commission to raise my children. After 8 years I was employed by my local hospital in their 6 month Nursing Residency Program. At the completion of the program I became sick and was forced to resign. Eight years later....it is time to return to work. I have my BSN and worked in Pediatrics. I live in the Newton, MA area. Do you have any information on refresher courses you would like to share? Thank you!!

Thank you! Sorry, what does PM mean & how does it work? Yes, it is terrifying. It has been so long since I have been on the floor. Where did you find information on online refresher courses? The hospital I am going to apply at has brought up that I may have to first be employed as a Patient Care Assistant and work my way back to RN responsibilities....When you went back did you obtain an RN position? I wish to return to work as a R.N. after years of raising my three children. I don't know where to begin. Resume looks dreadful as I have no recent experience. Suggestion by some are to seek the assistance of a headhunter.... Please, if you have experienced a similar situation any information you can share with me will be greatly appreciated.
