  1. I had another question...I am from the west coast and was wondering what the proper interview attire was for the east coast? I know it is a lot colder so wasn't sure what would be the most appropriate?
  2. ahhh im guessing you got in to UPenn... CONGRATS! :) I actually received my acceptance on Wednesday too but still want to do my interview with Duke...
  3. For us the last Duke Days was July 29 and decisions for people accepted during the 1st round were release on August 23. People accepted during the second round I believe had to wait another month after that. If you have an offer somewhere else, but Duke is your first choice, would it be possible to know if you've been accepted before a certain date?
  4. Do you know when we would possibly find out if we have been accepted after the interview?
  5. Wow that is even crazier! What a small world haha I have also lived in California my whole life but I feel like traveling to new places only makes you a more well rounded person and could be advantageous especially working with people in the medical world! I honestly have no idea which one I would pick. I am honestly just praying I get into at least one, they both would be a dream! I would go with my heart definitely.
  6. Hello BlueGirl17! I think that you should stay on the waitlist because that is an accomplishment in itself! You never know what could happen and I would encourage you to never give up! I just spoke with a friend that had applied to over 16 schools, wrote close to a hundred essays, and got rejected by 8 different schools. He never gave up and now he just got accepted to Johns Hopkins University nurse practitioner program, and with an almost full paid scholarship! You have gotten this far so sit back and let what's going to happen, happen! :)
  7. Hello again! That's what an admissions lady told me too when I called! I bought a plane ticket for the 21st because I want to get a feel for the campus because I have never been before! I am actually from southern california, specifically Orange county but I go to school in San Diego! It would definitely be an adjustment but I am looking forward to a little bit of a change! :) That is really ironic that you are waiting for UPenn because I applied to UPenn as well! I applied to their ABSN second degree program though. I had a phone interview with them the first week in January and the lady I spoke with I think they said the admissions comittee is getting back together the first week of February? I actually have a friend from Newport Beach, California that I played soccer with and she goes to Columbia and absolutely loves it. Both of those schools would be awesome, I wish you the best!!
  8. Hi Mewei! I just sent my RSVP for Duke days! I am also from California so I was excited to see that someone else is from California also! Have you decided if you are flying out or doing a skype interview?
