  1. The SON told me.
  2. There's 23 people on the alternate list. Most likely everyone on the alternate list gets in for the fall because many many people get into other schools that they prefer over CSULB. For Spring, only a few of the alternates get in because most people will accept their acceptance. Last year Fall 2013, all the alternates got in. Good luck for those that are on the list!
  3. No, I verified today that 9.26 was the cutoff for the alternates as well. There must have been some error when calculating those numbers since they aren't directly from the department.
  4. That was for the interview, but most likely everyone who was interviewed (including the alternates) will get in because a lot of people deny their acceptance because they've gotten in elsewhere.
  5. yeah same here, I just contacted them and they said it was a 9.26. Idk... must have something to do with the calculations unless they already have their associate degree in which case they would have priority.

  7. Seriously? I had a 9.19. That seems VERY unfair to me. I was told that a lot of people were in the 9.2 range. Do you think they were around 9.2 or even lower? Did they verify their points with the nursing department?
  8. kd94, What were your points? And I haven't received a rejection letter, but I'm sure we will receive them soon. I think those accepted were notified via email.
  9. Oh okay, then I hope they will accept transfers for spring of 2015. I will call and ask them tomorrow. I'm not sure about other schools, I'm actually only looking into CSULB, but if you look at other schools websites, it should have some more information on them. Wow good job on increasing your score the second time. If you could study as much as possible and try to get something higher, that would be good for you. But your score seems pretty high enough to get in for the Spring. Yeah I know, its hard to do good on the reading if English is a second language. I myself actually scored the lowest in the grammar section and English is my first language, so I am sure it was hard for you. It's upto you though if you want to try to take it again. I guess it wouldnt hurt?
  10. I think you're most likely going to be safe. Remember that for the Spring of 2013, they didnt accept transfers, so it wasnt as competitive, however for the years before that, the cutoff was still in the high 8's. Does anyone know if they accepted transfers for Spring of 2014? It is only getting more and more competitive, so I guess it wouldnt hurt to take it again and get a better score to be on the safe side. What did you get the first time?
  11. Same here, Do you have a course in progress?
  12. I'm pretty sure they are going to. I'll be suuuuuper upset if they dont! Are you going to reapply Vee89?
  13. Yeah I'm pretty upset about not getting in for the fall too, but that's life. I'm just going to reapply for the Spring of 2015. I guess one upside to it is that when we graduate, we will get our license months sooner than we would if we were graduating with everyone else because not many people are trying to get their license during the time we would graduate. You will get accepted for sure in the Spring of 2015, reapply! I dont think they should allow you to apply with a course in progress either. It's almost impossible to get in now with a course in progress with how competitive it is unless you have 100% on everything else. I also think they should give the teas exam more points than the pre req gpa because its a standardized exam and everyone takes the same exam, so i think it gives a better look at the candidate; whereas, yes, everyone takes the same science courses, but their grade depends on many different factors.
  14. Congrats to everyone who got an interview invite! :)
  15. Angel_12, what were your total points?
  16. That's what I was told, not sure which Wednesday was meant, but this coming Wednesday sounds too early.
  17. I guess so, looks like the interviews will be on Wednesday. And yes, because the class is in progress, they will count it as a C because they dont have a final grade for it. This is why my points are low as well, sucks, i know.
  18. Your science gpa will be a 3.5 assuming that each class was 4 units.
  19. I asked today about my score and i was told my score (9.19) was too low and that they are looking for around 9.3. I hope I'm not sure about it haha, hopefully she was estimating (because not all the applications were done) and I'm hoping that I still may have a chance!!!
  20. Your score is above 9.3, you will most likely get an invite!
  21. Tell me about it!! I'm so bummed! I guess I'll have to apply again :/ and wait!!!
  22. Just went to the nursing department...looks like the cutoff is going to be around 9.3 this time. Sucks to be me!!! Good luck to everyone else! Interview invites should be going out tonight or tomorrow!
  23. Okay, thanks sarah0987 for clarifying!
  24. Isnt it all just based on points? (Regarding how many transfer students get in)
  25. Yeah, I'm pretty scared now! Seems like it's gonna be more competitive. Where does it say they are only accepting 72 applicants? I just read that it is anticipated that 72 students are going to be accepted each semester, but that was written back in Fall of 2013 and more students were accepted in the Fall of 2013.
