  1. thank you! i passed! i hope you did too!
  2. Hello, All! So, I just interviewed for a position as a blood drive staff nurse....Basically, I will be part of the blood collection and screening process....I am excited about it because I am a new graduate and jobs in my area are so freaking competitive! So, what I would like to know is this: As a staff nurse for the ARC, do I have the ability to work with the disaster relief team? I have a passion for ER medicine and would like to become a flight nurse! Will this starting position as a 'vampire' potentially open up doors as a disaster relief specialist?? Any insight is appreciated!
  3. Hello! I took my NCLEX, and I am awaiting results. Any Oregon nurses out there who know how they contact you to confirm a pass/fail? Thanks!
  4. Sometimes, life works in strange ways...I received my bachelors and am now in an accelerated program to obtain my BSN because having nursing as an additional skill only makes me more marketable....People's paths lead them in all sorts of ways! Good luck to you!
  5. It seems very daunting, I know....They tell you that you shouldn't work at all...Honestly? I am in an accelerated, on campus program and I am filling in the gaps by working for my church on the weekends and for any other afternoon/evening needs they may have....It's not much, but it is enough to keep the loose ends together (and even a cheap happy hour every month)...If you are determined, which it seems you are, then I think one CAN work and complete a program....Good luck!
