I know, the Valencia answer center did the same with me. They had little idea of what the program was, so therefore was very unhelpful. I have already sent out an email to a UCF advisor to see if this can give me some more information on the topic, so it can be cleared up before the semester ends.

I've been doing some research and it looks to me that both Valencia and UCF work together for financial aid. Something I read stated that they recognize the student is going full-time because of the UCF courses and that way they are granted extra funds. This was just something I read from like 2 years ago, so I'm not sure how accurate it is today.

Does anybody know how financial aid works for this program?

UCF sent out there decisions for the concurrent program!!

Congrats AG1121!!! I hope we hear back soon, I just want to know already. I remember reading the UCF website and they stated that the decisions for this program will be given out 4-6weeks after tha application deadline.

Let me ask you another question. When you say pre req GPA, what was the break down of your science and other pre req GPA? Sorry I keep asking questions, I just want to see where I stand on the list.

Thank you! I believe your right with most of the things you've said. I really thought UCF was one of the last schools to give out their decisions. I will try not to lose hope! :)

The wait for basic program acceptance letters is killing me! Someone told me that they are looking to send them out closer to the eighth week. Anybody else here this or something new?

Weiser, your prerequisite GPA and TEAS score from what I heard mean the most. Cumulative GPA has an impact on the decision as well but not as much. I would retake the TEAS if you can.

You're right as well. The summers in the accelerated program are more busy from what I heard.

I am pretty sure that's how the basic program is. If you would like you can check the website for UCF, I think they have the curriculum for each program. :)

From what I've been told and read the basic program does not get summers off. It's 5 consecutive semesters.

Thank you ivoryleola and lexipark!! It is nice to just finally be done with, I've been working on it for awhile. I am right there with you ivoryleola, if I am not mentioning, I am thinking about it about a dozen times a day even while working. It's so stressful, but if it all works out it will be worth it in the end!

I just saw the email too. I'm not sure what to think of this actually. I thought the interview would give them a good idea of the types of students who are applying to the program, and whether they will be able to handle it. It hard to think you might not get in just because of a bad overall GPA. . All week can do is hope for the best and that we all make it in! Btw missind33, your TEAS score is great, that is right in the competitive range! Ivoryleola, your 3.88 pre req GPA is amazing! Don't worry about it! :)

You both are so right! I have already completed the application the first day it opened, so now it will definitely feel like a long time till we hear anything back. It was a shock to me that they did break the pre reqs into 2 sections as well, but I guess I understand why. I can't wait to finally hear back and hopefully it is the news we have all been waiting for!
