  1. I'm in the same situation. At least you aren't giving up on becoming a nurse. I'm actually doing CNA this time. I'm hoping the CNA program will give me a good background for nursing. Good luck to you!
  2. Germanna offers the CNA classes every semester. There are a total of 3 classes to get the certificate. I spoke the instructor and she says that if you take HCT 101-102 (2 of the 3 classes that are needed for the certificate) you can sit for the state board exam. The summer session is in the evening from 4 p-6:45 p. It runs from June 8-July 31. I'm taking it this summer. Germanna also has a good reputation. I hope this helps
  3. I started at CTS for the LPN program and quickly transferred out. I hated it. The days are extremely long. They have a way of weaving students out during the first semester. I heard that Germanna has a better program. After attending CTS I've decided to do CNA program at Germanna and then do the RN program at Germanna. Before I started classes at CTS I had chose to go to Germanna but changed my mind. I should have gone with my first instinct. CTS is extremely expensive. Once you get in the program you still have lots of other costs. This is my experience with CTS. If I could do it all over again I wouldn't have gone to CTS in the first place.
  4. I'll be starting the LPN program at CTS in February '09. I've heard it is structured with classroom time and clinicals. I've also heard that it is a great school. When I start I'll be sure to come back here to give an update.
