School Starts tomorrow who's ready?!

@Stefanie what about the cna test? will we be able to take it after first semester?

@Stefanie That seems like a great plan to have. If you complete a semester at Baptist are you eligible to take the cna exam?

@Stefanie would you say that 2 classes that last 8 weeks is better on the work load than if we had 4 classes for 16 week classes?

@Amanda We will need our books for future semesters.. They have the book list up on the website and it goes into future detail about the books for each semester. @MilSpouse I called about that very same thing today.. They told me my transcript from usta hasn't been sent over yet. Idk why I've sent like 2 excluding the one I applied with and in addition to a transcript I requested via email ughhh

They said we"ll find out about it during success day and even then we might not get the schedule but we'll know how the first day of school will look.

How do you guys feel about binding your books? Is that a good idea? It seems like it would be so much easier when carrying around a bunch of books. Do the professors usually stay on track with the syllabus?

@ ReneeMorg For Project Quest do you have to sign a contract saying in return for assistance you will work in Bexar county for at least 2 years after graduation?

Whoa! Thank you what a rush of information! You make me even more nervous/excited. I know for us we have the option of taking pharmacology either Spring or Summer session. But that's a ways to go to decide which to do. I'm glad to know you are actually enjoying the program. I've been freaking out that I'll be so overwhelmed and stressed that I won't enjoy the program so thanks for reassuring me. Your advice is awesome I'm going to try to do just that take it day by day! I hope to see you at Student Success Day!

Hi @ReneeMorg! Thanks for commenting. I was curious to know when you started the program. Were you able to take classes/ clinicals over the summer and that's why you are graduating this fall? Also what was the hardest thing for you your semester? Do you have advice for us who are about to enter the program?

Just want to make sure.. even on NON-Clinical days we still have to wear scrub tops and bottoms and school shirt??

Just got my blue Card in the mail! Just in time for orientation.. I'm so excited. Anybody taking any classes or doing reading this summer?? @Bambi210 I'll keep you updated I made a you tube channel for my journey so I'm excited about that too! Best of Luck to you as well. @Freet I read on another post that it usually takes 4-5 weeks to come. I did mine last week. Which program are you in?

@Amandac7 Welcome!! I heard that we find out all about financial aid on processing day.. And you should probably also call the school to see whats going on with that.. I got mine done today and it took like 5 min. @Freet From what I heard it's a tour of the school, you get your schedule, parking pass, i.d card, patches to go on your uniform and you speak to the financial aid office about the upcoming year... I'm sure it's more since processing day is 4 hours but that's all I know.

I guess I will be seeing you on processing day! Ooooh I'm so excited! :)

@CuteAra sorry!! My mistake!The second email I looked at was my confirmation email opps lol.. It was all on one email with the subject, "Fast Pass for fingerprinting" check the very bottom of the email after her signature it should be in a pdf format.. If that doesnt work try pulling it up with another computer or call them on Monday..

@CuteAra yes ma'am i went to IdentoGO Home and I just followed what the steps on the paper said from the second email.. In the second email they sent, the attachment has an ORI #. I guess that's how they identify us.Use it for step 9. Then When i picked a date and time in order to scheduled my appointment i had to double click on the time and it sent me to another page to confirm and pay.. Hope that helps!

Thanks @ MilSpouse13 Yeah I'd choose accreditation over no accreditation just so in case you have to transfer or want to continue to bsn.. your credits will have a better chance at rolling over too. What day is your processing day? I wonder if all of the evening students are on the same day. BAmbi, Did they say they still had spots available?? Because Sac is done for the Fall their application process was super early unless your looking at the spring semester.

I've completed everything except the FBI Fingerprinting but I have an appointment with them Tuesday. @Bambi I hope you do well on your Teas so you can start with us in the Fall! which program do you want to apply for day or evening??Keep us updated!! @CuteAra what is a seating fee?? I thought that was towards scrubs and I.d badge etc... lol its just like a down payment? (Takes a deep breath) And finally...Does anyone know how that general ed semester goes if you've already completed your gen ed classes?? I've been searching but havent found an exact answer.

Hey! I also accepted a seat in the evening/weekend program cause I didn't want to risk not getting in at all! Did you get an email about your processing day yet?
