  1. Hello all! I am in my last semester of a BSN program here in Texas. I was almost finished with my last semester when I realized I was pregnant. I was having morning sickness like crazy and my medication for bipolar disorder (lamotragine 100 mg) was not metabolizing so I went in a downward spiral pretty fast. My boyfriend at the time and myself had gotten into a fight at my apartment complex and neighbors could hear us, so they called the cops on us. My ex left before the cops showed up, leaving me to deal with the ordeal. When the police officers came to my door, I was terrified. They let themselves in the door and closed it behind them. This made me very uncomfortable to be alone with two male police officers and being super paranoid off my medication, I ran from them. Long story short, I was charged with resisting and evading arrest. My resisting arrest conviction was dropped in court, but I am on probation now for 9 months for the evading arrest charge. my school is letting me finish courses, but I don't know what the BON in Texas is going to tell me. Is there any chance that they will allow me to take my boards? I was not in a good place at the time and really stressed with school. I was almost done. I'm in dire need of some advice. Has anyone been convicted of a misdemeanor/felony in Texas and was still able to be a nurse?? My charge is a class A misdemeanor, by the way. I'd appreciate any feedback, knowledge, and wisdom.
