I have been accepted into the Seton RN Residency (Versant) Program set to start on February 3, 2014 (February 2014 cohort). I am here to answer any questions, provide advice, and share my experience as a new graduate entering the workforce. I was able to get 3 interviews on different units for the Feb. 2014 cohort. Thousands of applications were submitted to the program, hundreds to each unit that I interview on, 10-15 applicants were selected to interview and 4-7 positions were open on each unit. Knowing that most people don't even have the opportunity to interview on one unit, I was very thankful to have the opportunity to interview on 3. I was contacted about 2 weeks after my last interview by the nursing manager offering me the position. HR called me a week later to officially offer me the position and I formally accepted the position (that was today). HR told me that they would be sending me an email containing my official job offer letter, and a packet of forms that I need to fill out and fax to them as soon as possible. I was also told I would be contacted in the next few days to schedule my medical screening for next week. Please feel free to ask any questions and I will continue to update as I go through the process.
