  1. I just finished up the first year in the program. I just to let you know that you most likely won't use the Calculation with Confidence book. I bought an older version of it for like $10.00 and have never had to use it. You can save $100.00 and get an old one if you think you need it.
  2. SuccessIsAMust1996 you do have a good chance of getting in. I was initially placed on the waitlist but I was accepted about 3 weeks after they sent the first batch of acceptance letters. Goodluck! You all should be hearing from them soon. They started notifying people last year around the second week of April!
  3. My nursing prerequisite QPA is a 2.9 something . I have all of the required courses but have C in Chemistry and Microbiology. Is there a FB page for our class up yet?
  4. I was put on the waitlist but get my acceptance email today!
  5. Looks like it will be next week before they send them now. Sigh
  6. I hope we get emails soon... like today or tomorrow!
  7. I received the email too. And was shaking while I read tge first sentence. Now I am even more nervous since they said there are alot of applications they are reviewing. I just want to see that Congratulations email already!!!
  8. You will probably be fine. You will definitely score higher when you retake the teas because you know what to expect now. I know what you mean about the cost of everything plus i believe the actual application fee for UAMS is $150.00. UALR just did away with its entrance test last summer, they used the EVOLVE. They accept 200 people each year, and their application fee is only $40.00. I plan to go this route now because I believe that it will fit into my life a little better at the moment (less classes to juggle, lower tuition, possibly keep my job while in school, and get to working as a RN quicker), and later I will finish to get my BSN.
  9. My gpa is a 3.2 and my teas score was 63%. So I was pretty much on the lower end of being competitive. What about your gpa/teas?
  10. I just submitted my application today. I applied to UAMS last year but didn't get in. I decided to try UALR this time in hopes of getting my AAS and then bridging to my BSN as a working RN. Goodluck to us all!
  11. I am still waiting too. Also nervous and worried. Sigh
  12. My interview is next Friday Feb. 28. So excited!
  13. Thank you for your advice. I too have a child a 20 month old... I am going to submit my application and transcripts very soon. Goodluck on your interview and please come back and tell us your experience. You got this!!!
  14. I plan to apply to UAMS for summer 2014 as well. I have not taken the TEAS V yet, I am scheduled to take it Feb. 2. How did you do on the test? Any advice?
